It has a nice tropical fruit flavor which is mildly sweet but not overly so. I will buy this again.

SANTAN PINEAPPLE
:got this at the local supermarket:
poured from a 12 oz can into my Mason jar:
seems Xtra foamy - only just a touch of lacing
Very hazy and a bright amber hue
S to the nose this seems just a bit off in my humble opinion
T- goes with the nose - you ask me? this is a no go
M very full body - sweet - this is a candy style beer IMHO
D ummmm just leave it.
I think I have reviewed about 236 beers and before this I have never done a negative review.

It smells a lot more of pineapple than the taste of pineapple comes through. Only a hint of pineapple flavor comes through so it's a good tasting beer, too much pineapple taste would probably be nasty.

A: Pours a slightly hazy golden apricot in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate peach + burnt orange + medium golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of wheat + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness and a light aroma of banana from the yeast and a hint of tropical pineapple.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of wheat + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by a light to moderate flavor of banana + clove yeast and light flavors of tropical pineapple juice. Hints of herbal hops contribute a hint of bitterness which fades relatively quickly leaving lingering banana + clove yeast and pineapple flavors.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly smooth.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and refreshing - reminds me a bit of a hybrid of a hefeweizen and pineapple juice. Enjoyable.

24 oz. can:
Pours clouded dark golden with a foamy head that leaves a little lacing.
The smell is of grass/wheat grain. Very little pineapple. Something slightly skunky in a "Euro skunk" way.
The taste is of grass/grain with a subtle hint of pineapple in the aftertaste.
Light-bodied. Slightly rough for the style.
The pineapple is hardly there, leaving a mediocre pale wheat ale.

A: The beer is slightly yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving a narrow collar of bubbles around the edge of the glass. The head eventually completely faded away.
S: Light aromas of wheat are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of pineapple juice along with notes of wheat.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer has very nice and refreshing flavors of pineapples.
