The atmosphere appropriately has lots of steel but even though I'm more an Irish pub kind of guy, it's still comes off as friendly. And more importantly, it seems it is now smoke free until 9 pm. Now for solo lunches I'll sit in the barroom, where its a lot easier to read the newspaper.
Whenever I've been there, service has indeed been exceptional. Waiters check before the glass is completely empty whether you want another. I like that the kitchen sends the food out with whoever is available, instead of letting it sit if your waiter is busy with other customers. Hell, one visit my waiter was amazed how fast my lunch arrived.
As far as I can tell, the Golden Ale, ESB, and Oatmeal Stout are always on. The Golden is good for what it is (the gateway beer), and I really enjoy the other two - to the extent that I sometimes don't even read the beer menu. Today however, I did have TWO pints of a the very nice Wing Nut Brown Ale. The departure earlier this year of brewmaster Lewis has seemed to put a damper on BBW's BA buzz of late, not hearing the weekly pimping, but the existing beers don't seem to have suffered. I will say that the new DIPA a few months back was too hot. Maybe we will here of more successful experiments later.
Food wise, I haven't tried that many dishes, but I have really enjoyed multiple samples of the pulled pork sandwich and the ribs.
Parking wise, the mini-mall has a lot in the back, and there are other lots in the vicinity, plus street parking - but bring your quarters because I haven't found any free spots close by.
Overall, I always enjoy my visits, and I heartily recommend BBW.
