This brewpub, which was referred to me by the folks at Weyerbacher Brewing Co, was located in a mall in downtown Bethlehem. The atmosphere was that of sophistication and class. This was not the kind of place you go to sit at the bar and get rowdy. There is a bar, but noone sat at it. The majority of the business was lunch and dinner customers. The service was good, but I do have to say that the selection of brews stunk in a big way. There were six brews from which to choose from. I asked for their backyard summer brew, that they make using tulip pedals and other natural ingredients native to the summer and outdoors. This was unavailable. Next I ordered their scottish ale. This was also gone. I finally settled on their oatmeal stout. It was a decent brew, but nothing too great. They food was better than most brewpubs. There was a real selection of fine items. Of course, I get the quesedillas and my son got the chicken fingers. They were good so I was happy. I have to say that if I owned a brewpub, this is not what I would want to do with it. Also, when you only have six beers to choose from, make sure you have them. I hate being told "we're out of that". That happened not only once, but twice. It's safe to say I'll never come here again.

I swung by here for lunch on 05JUN14, enroute to the Reading WWII Weekend. BBW was easily found on the first floor of a corner building in downtown Bethlehem. The place runs long from front to back, with brewing equipment visible right up front at the windows. There were plenty of tables and booths, and about halfway in I found the bar, running back along the left side. The whole area was bright and airy, and a mix of rock and pop was playing in the background.

They had about 10 brews on tap, with a few bottles also available. I settled for the well-made Maibock, which hit the spot. It paired well with my tasty chicken cheese-steak sammich. The bartender was very friendly, helpful and attentive throughout my visit. I would not hesitate to stop by again if in the area. Prosit!
