This is located nicely within the beer stores in town...Right off of severn and across the street from Lager's, with Martin's and dorignacs relatively close by.

Carry much of the same things i have put in the other Whole foods around here...north coast line, lots of flying dog, good belgian singles (uniroue, chimay, la chouffe, brother thelonous, etc.). One thing i like is that they tend to have all 4 bear republic beers available down here. Everything looks to be quite fresh as well. Plus, like the others, they tend to get a lot of seasonal beers in higher quantity than other stores, so that's always a plus.

Service is real good. their main beer guy is very enthusiastic about his job and getting new beers in, and he is more than happy to talk to you.

I kinda feel redundant reviewing the three stores around here, as the large majority of the beers they have are the same. The only one's i can think of that the other 2 dont have are brother thelonious and the 4 bear republics. But if in town, it is a must stop beer run place, especially being only a couple of miles away from martins and dorignacs.

One of the best selections in the Louisiana market. I stop here whenever traveling back to Lafayette. Good selection of 4/6 packs and bombers. Whole Foods always has amazing service but I rate them a bit lower as staff beer knowledge is limited.

If you've been in a whole food before, then you'll know the drill here. The selection here is better than most I've been to as you've got almost a whole cooler aisle of beer to choose from.

Price is a little higher than some of the other stores I visited, but not by much. Very good selection, but not many come in singles.

My wife and I love going to Whole Foods just for the shopping experience and the great food selection. That makes it easy to get my wife to come beer shopping with me!

This probably my most frequented spot in Metairie to shop beer.

They always have your normal stuff, and they stock locals adamantly. But, they also carry plenty other good things that other places don't, along with the occasion exclusive beer to the store. New things come in regularly and I can usually count on them having tasty seasonal/yearly releases earlier than most places.

The staff is nice, but they really don't have any "beer staff", so your usually on your own, which really is to be expected at a such a place.

Prices, while at their core are still reasonable, you can still expect to pay a slightly higher price than most places.

Overall, one of my more favorite spots to hit when in Metairie: Selection is great, pricing isn't horrible, and it's definitely the most convenient for me off North Causeway from Mandeville.

Whole Foods is basically an upscale gourmet grocery store with a lot of organic and environmentally friendly products. I went by on a Sunday & it was surprisingly busy. They have a decent selection of beers, most of which are available cold--Bear Republic, Ayinger, Rogue, etc. They did have lots of unrefrigerated six packs of local and seasonal beers.

Service was OK, no one asked whether I needed help while I looked through the beers, but I really didn't expect more since this is a grocery. However, the people at checkout were very friendly, and seemed willing to help.

Overall, a pretty good beer store, but a step below Stein's and Martin Wine Cellar in the New Orleans area. Be sure to remember when coming here that it is a grocery, so don't expect a lot of personalized service.

Whole Foods in Metairie is probably the second place I go to buy beer. Martins is first. Not a bad beer selection and they carry stuff that Martins doesn't such as North Coast(Old Rasputin), Acme and some local like Heiner Brau. Jen, the beer girl, is knowledgable and passionate about her product. The only issue I have is that they don't allow you to mix and match your six packs which kind of sucks. Overall though a great second stop when in Metairie. Anything that you don't grab at Martins go here and you can get it most likely.

whole foods is a very nice place to buy beer. it's actually a very nice grocery store with some great "whole" foods and a good wine selection.

this place sells quite a few different beers that are highly desirable on my list and most are sold as singles.

the staff is nice, bit it's a busy place, so don't expect the personalized service you will get at a liquor store.

the only major drawback to this place is the fact that most of the beers are cold and can only be bought cold.

that won't keep me from visiting this place frequently however.

EDIT TO MY REVIEW: you can get the beers room temp as well, just ask for Jen the beer girl!
