Thanks to pecorasc for sending me one of the best pils I have ever had.

A: Pours a nice golden color. Nice foamy head that is cloud-like. Dissipates very slowly.

S: Nice blend of mellow aromas. Picking up some yeast and bready malts as well as nice hop smells and a tough of honey.

T: Nice malts up front which are perfectly complimented by hops. The honey I smelled in the aroma is also present with a touch of sweetness up front. Hops create a grassy, slightly spicy, bitter finish.

M: Well carbonated and nice light body.

D: Absolutely perfect drinkability. Super refreshing beer that I could drink all day. I was extremely impressed with this pilsener.

Thanks to kscaldef for the bottle, been wanting to try this for awhile.

A - Pours a pale straw color, the first pils I've had (even craft) that's cloudy, maybe a good sign.

S - Spicy hops behind a toasty buscuit maltiness

T - Nice bit of hop bitterness balanced with a malitness that is not overly sweet, finishes clean and dry

M - This is less carbonated than most other pilners I'va had and works much better and I think adds to the drinkability.

This is a great pilsner, up there with Prima Pils and Dortmunder Gold, if I had regular access to this it would be my staple session beer.

From the undated 22oz bottle into a pilsner glass produces a very pretty bright golden body capped by a thin head of foam, lots of bubbles race to the top keeping the beer lively, there is lots of lacing.
Aroma is subdued, very clean cracker/yeast and a slight spicy hop. Smells just like a Pils should.
Taste is crisp cracker with a very pronounced floral bitterness that lingers, there is also a very prickly effervescence that is very satisfying and causes the beer to finish dry.
This is a lovely pilsner, the brewer should be justly proud of achieving this high a quality in such an unforgiving style.

poured from bomber into glass. Pours a great clear straw color with a small head.

Crisp and pristine with really good aromas of crackers, noble hops, and grains. Very good depth and very aromatic.

Really good light body with a delicious crisp feel and flavors of crackers, biscuits and noble hops.

This was a spot on pilsner. Wonderful lighter body and real crisp. It was a real good night capper.

Pours clear amber from the 22 ounce bottle with one finger white head. Few lacings. Aroma is light malts. Taste is bitter hops with a good amount of sweet malts. Mouthfeel is perfect carbonation and a bitter dry finish. Overall a fabulous Pils with just the right amount of NW punch to make it a must have Pils. Sessionability is exceptional. I would like to see this beer in a face off with Prima Pils. I think H-A Pils would win.
Update: 03/23/09...
Body has become darker, almost a brown color. Still a nice Pils. Not a match for Czechvar PILS. So drink it fresh is my advice.

22 oz from Roth’s Sunnyside Market, S.Salem. $4.49 Typical bright golden lager, slightly hazy with a small frothy white head. Very nice pilsner, cracker, biscuit aromas..some hop. Taste is similar to the aroma with a nice hoppiness to balance the eep malts. Very nice mouthfeel..kinda on the thick side for the style perhaps, but I liked it. Overall an excellent pilsner and so very drinkable.

First had: bottle from Beermongers, Portland, OR

Poured into a pint glass at home (this beer traveled a distance indeed), a crystal clear golden yellow; an aggressive pour yielded a huge four finger head, which receded to about one finger, then to a thin patchy layer that retained throughout the session; nice crusty lacing on the glass. Smell of grains, pils malts (surprise!). Taste of sweet pils malt, clean fresh floral hops, grassy, a touch of spice in the aftertaste. I was told this was a highly desirable pils that is unique from many of the others I may be used to, but really it's about the same as any run-of-the-mill Czech pilsner. Not bad, but really not my style. Light mouthfeel, crisp, and definitely highly drinkable: goes down easy and goes well with food. Attractive and drinkable for the style, just really not my thing.

22oz bottle into tulip pint.

Pours a clear, golden yellow with a fizzy, foamy white head.

Grassy hops and light cracker malt backing in both the aroma and taste. The hops are a bit more prominent in the nose, while the malt is the focal point in the taste.

Medium body, with average carbonation.

A good beer, but I was hoping for just a bit more complexity.

Bottle thanks to goryshkewych. Thanks Man!
Review to style.
Pours a Very light yellow/orange with a nice healthy 2-3 finger head, that clings to the glass like a champ.
nose is a bit weird, from far away I get melon, and close up I get a LOT if wheat and some pilsner malt. Smells like a wheat beer.
Taste is a lot more bitter than I expected. Light pilsner malt flavor with the wheat from before mixed with a grassiness. The bitterness is the surprise here. It is a nice addition, and almost overpowers it, but it is only on the finish. Makes for a crisp clean finish. It is also a bit sweet on the front of the palate, which is also a nice surprise. Very nice clean crisp Pils that would definitely hit the spot on a nice hot summer day. I am not a big Pilsner fan, as I assume a lot of you are not. As stated reviewed by style. Great Pils... mediocre beer when compared to other styles.

Bomber, poured into a shaker pint glass.

Slightly hazy light gold body with a white head that struggles to fluff up to a half finger. Head retention isn't great, but the lacing is surprisingly decent considering the lack of bubbles involved.

The nose is fairly muted without a substantial head to pass anything along, but it's pleasant. A general clean light crisp maltiness and cut grass are the primary aromas. Tiniest hint of hops.

Much more lively in the mouth. A nice 1-2 punch of Saaz spiciness and light grains is backed up by cut grass and some bready sweetness. A somewhat surprising, but ejoyable level of lingering lemony bitterness in the finish.

Overall impression: Pretty nice pils. Good session brew.
