poured 12oz bottle into snifter glass.

A - Burnt brown with a good 1.5 finger mocha head that fades into a thick collar and has spotty lacing.

S - Roasted sweet malts along with milk chocolate and sweet cream. Smells delicious.

T - A good amount of roasted malts. Allows the bitter chocolate to mix with the milk chocolate and sweet cream flavors. Maybe even a slight hint of coffee to give it some bitterness.

M - Medium creamy body with a silky smooth feel and nice carbonation.

O - Pretty nice milk stout.

On-tap at 3 Cellars, Franklin, WI and in bottle:

Pours black with a thin tan head. Strands of lacing stick.

The smell is of chocolate, coffee, hint of lactose.

The taste is of chocolate, coffee, with a sour lactic balance in the finish.

It has a creamy, full body.

A nicely done, rich, smooth milk stout!

Pours a dense, frothy tan head that has great persistence and laces madly. With this head retention, I'd swear it was on nitro for the first few minutes. Ooooh! An intense, toasted malt aroma. Opaque black. Starts with an INTENSE, almost overwhelming toastedness. Wow. There is a touch of citric hop bitterness that tries to come through. Finish highlights more of that citrus hop flavor, though the toasted malt still dominates.

This is intense. This is easily the most toasted malt profile I've ever had. This is pretty good, overall, and it has a great mouthfeel, but MAN is it assertive...maybe a touch too much for me.
The lactose settled out to the bottom of the bottle, and swirling that in really cuts the assertiveness; it takes on a more mellow, slightly sweet flavor. Either way, this is very robust.

12oz bottle. Undated, but seeing as this was just released in bottles, this should be quite fresh. Served in an O'so snifter 2/19/2015.

A- Dark cola brown. Nearly black. One finger mocha head, minimal retention time, splotches of lacing. Not a particularly sticky or oily beer, but it is certainly stout-appearing.

S- Fair roast character, coffee, milk chocolate in the background. A bit of toastiness. Otherwise smells a bit bland.

F- Toasted malt, milk chocolate, sweet lactose, cocoa, a touch of espresso. Roasty on the end with a mild citrus bitterness that lingers as a non-descript bitterness. Solid, no off-flavours.

M- Medium bodied, good carbonation. A bit more bitterness on the backend than I'd like in terms of drinkability, but it certainly balances things out.

O- Decent milk stout, nothing special but it's a solid representation of the style.
