On tap at Great Lakes Brew Fest. Pours a deep orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma is medium sweet, light citrus, biscuity and a very faint fruit. Butterscotch is also detected. Flavor is light butterscotch (diacetyl) which detracts from and overpowers the other flavors. Light to medium bodied, creamy thin texture. Finishes abrupt and bitter

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. 2/6

Pours medium dark cloudy amber, with thick heavy white foam. Loads of lacing. Sharp pine nose with floral hints. Punchy carbonated peppery spicy malt. A little pop backed by a tasty malt. Good IPA for sure.

Poured into a Bell's tulip on 7/26/12

111 12 Hopdinger printed on the bottle

A) Rustic orange color with faded gold highlights at the stem. One finger cap of foam dissipates to a bubble, soapy layer leaving some lace along the way.

S) Notes of sticky pine and zesty lemon comprise most of the aroma. Seems like it will be pretty dry. A spot of sweet cracker and biscuit dustings round out the aroma.

T) Hot dang, this is a bright and snappy hop profile ripe with lemon, pine and herbal hops. Modest bread notes quickly give way to a resin-laden, dry and prickly finish. Definitely hop-forward.

M) The feel is a nimble medium, made so by vigorous carbonation ripping across the whole of the palate. Very subtle granular undercurrent.

D) Hopdinger is a feisty creature. Well-constructed and easily drinkable. I'd reckon this is a treat on tap.

Pours a dense, resiny head that has good persistence and laces nicely. Nice, warm citrus/pine aroma with a slight sweetness behind it all. Amber-straw color. Starts with a bright grapefruit hoppiness, moves into a more floral character as the malt comes through. Peaks into a medium bitterness that is citrus rind. Finish is a nice mix of citrus and bitterness.

This is pretty good. A nice balance of hoppy and aromatic. Good malt presence, too. Quite a solid WI alternative to Hopalicious.
