Refreshing easy drinker, didn't feel like 8% ABV (?) would drink again...

Interesting take on the saison/farmhouse style. Pours cloudy/yeasty as you'd expect, and has a sort of off-smell that frankly isn't overly appealing. However, the taste does not follow suit, with nice flavors of banana, lemon, a little clove, and some breadiness. The addition of brett gives it a slight sour characteristic that works pretty well. Overall, fairly enjoyable, a good summer drink.

From growler purchased the day before from Brass Tap:
Pours golden with thin white head. Trailing lace sticks.
The smell is of tart lemon, grass, some sour fruit, bread.
The taste is of lemongrass, sweet bread. Refreshing sweet and sour a bit bitter finish. Some black pepper comes through in the aftertaste.
A nice, refreshing brew. Interesting take on the style.

A true to form saison in a historical sense. It's funky, like saison once was, and still sort of is. Strange nose, banana, and clove. Slight though. Belgiany, like a Tripel I would say, but with a sour note. Also, cut grass, hay, and a bit of ground black pepper. Ah ha! There's that saison I'm searching for. Sweet malt flavour, like fresh backed sourdough. Ripe banana, and faintly tart. Tannic, and hoppy in the middle, woody even. Finish is off dry, with a lingering tart, banana thing going on. Gorgeous clarity, and a beautiful golden hue. Seems to me like the love child of Westmalle Tripel, and Saison DuPont. Really well done.

Not bad. Aroma is bread and fruit - not saison like. Appearance had a small off-white, quick to fade head, hazy dirty, amber color. Flavor's a bit on the tart side and not too much like aroma. Body's a touch thin.
