not great, thin for me, and lacking a true german identity, fizzy like a sody but still kind of runny textured, and its that more than the flavor that brings this down a little in my opinion, i dont mind a lighter take on the style, which this certainly is. some honey nut character in the nose, but also a little copper metallic aspect that makes it seem just a tad cheap, and freshness might also be an issue here. the yeast is subtle and it doesnt have the long cold lagered crispness i want in one of these, nor are there any hops hardly at all, so its a little bit vacuous in the flavor, just the slightly sweet grain standing more or less alone. its pretty quick on the palate even without being crisp in the traditional sense, and i reckon the drinkability is high, probably its best feature, but compared to the gold standard in the style this is lackluster, and as excited as i was to have my first beer from these guys in ages, it ended up just being something cold and wet. unexciting and uninspiring overall, maybe the least enjoyable i have had from this brewery over the years, just kind of missing its soul...

Appearance: Pours a clear, deep orange color with a strong off-white head. SRM of 13. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of bread malt, some rye spice, a bit of corn and sweaty adjuncts. (3.50)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of bread malt, brown sugar, caramel and a smooth sweet finish. (3.75)
Feel: Heavier bodied, lower carbonation, and drinks slightly heavier and sweet. (3.75)
Compared to Stevens Point Oktoberfest 10/2022: Pours darker. darker aromas. More sweet caramel and brown sugar.
Compared to Hop & Barrel Oktoberfest 10/2022: Pours lighter. Milder aromas. More smooth caramel and sweetness. Less bread malt and toasted malt. Sweeter with less carbonation and body. Winner: Hop & Barrel
Overall: A decent Oktoberfest Marzen here. Rich caramel brown bread and brown sugar sweetness. Heavier and drinks sweeter than expected. Decent stuff. (Rating: 3.64)

Nice red/Amber color with a off white head. There is a nice maltyness in the feel but it lacks a little in the hops. It is good but not outstanding and goes down easy.

A light duty Marzen, with a some fest style in it's blood.
Taste: bread, biscuit, grain. maybe hint of earth, yeas, grass and mineral. Some floral hops. Just slightly sweet overall
Has a soft malt feel to it.
A solid lower ABV beer.

Dark copper amber, thin layer of creamy foam settles to an unbroken skim.
Dried fruit esters, nutty malt, dry balsa wood.
Malt forward and bready, though there’s a faint herbal tea note that surfaces briefly. Light bitterness, medium body, moderate carbonation.
Dry finish, nutty malt traces linger into the aftertaste.
Overall it’s pretty good, though there’s a slight astringency to it. Not bad though, certainly worth trying but i’m glad I got a single.
