Something not quite right with this beer. Seems to be the yeast or possibly infected. Brett or Bayanus yeast? Nothing pumpkin or roasted about it as stated on the label. Can't really smell or taste anything beyond green olives and horse blanket. I want to be positive in the review so I would say, "if this is intentional, "back to the drawing board." Maybe too creative for my tastes. Could benefit from more conditioning.

Appearance: Cloudy orange-brown with an everlasting off-white bubbly head. Lots of effervescence. Very attractive.
Aroma: slightly sour smoked salmon. minerality.
Flavor: Jerky and smoked salmon. Minerally finish with smokey rye notes but very little pumpkin.
Mouthfeel: smokey, full, heavily carbonated, with a twangy finish. Some residual sweetness as it warms.
Drinkability: decent, considering the rauchbeerness of this...
I am so used to Pumpkin Beers = all spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove... This is wildly creative and enjoyable. I would actually call this a Rauschbier though.

12 oz bottle poured into a globe glass. No date or code.
A- a dull brownish/reddish/copper color
S- smokey, malty
T- Emphasis on the smoke flavor, with a bit of sweetness that is not quite discernible. Assuming that must be the pumpkin?
M- thin carbonation
D- Somewhat of an odd beer, mostly a smokey flavor but in a different way in combination with thte sweetness.
