Three drafts at Bomb Shelter in Milwaukee... wow, this is great stuff. Now if only O'So would bottle it. Hop Whoopin' comes across like the IPA version of Lupulin Maximus DIPA, coming out next week for it's annual release.
Hazy saturated orange pour, very creamy texture to the foam. It fluffed up in a convex dome above the surface of the glass. As it was sipped, concentric rings of lace formed. The head never faded, very impressive.
Intense tropical and citrus aroma, mango, melon, orange, resiny and catty. Very dank and resinous, a true hop bomb. I found myself just sitting there inhaling it, even when not taking a sip.
A rush of bitter hop oil, raw orange peel, pure lupulin essence. Dry in the finish, but almost sweet in the middle from the concentrated citrus, and to a lesser extent the malt in the background. Light bodied, low to medium carbonation. Pure hop juice delivery vehicle. Amazing stuff that hopefully gets bottled one day.

Honey hued body; lots of gently rising carbonation; very thick, rocky, and sticky white head; plenty of lacing and rings along the glass. Mild aroma of bread and pine resin. Sweet taste with underlying esters; strong hop bitterness. Heavy, sticky mouthfeel; some alcohol heat.
By and large, the beer lives up to its 90 IBU billing. It has a super appearance although the aroma is pretty weak. The flavor and mouthfeel is all sticky sweetness and killer hop bitterness. Worth trying if you're after the looking for a tongue ripper.

This beer pours a deep straw with a moderate head. The aroma is intense, with big caramel, pine, juniper, and bittered grains. The flavor starts with strong contrast between sweet caramel and bitter pine, with notes of cannabis, orange pith, lime peel, mango, and a very oily, resinous flavor. The mouthfeel is full and tricky, with moderate carbonation. Overall this is a beer drinks as if out of another time - a bigm sweet, and very bitter west coast style IPA, but still, rather illuring - no sickly sweet.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that only died down a bit and consistently left a short head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of grapefruit pith are present in the nose
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of grapefruit pith along with a moderate to high amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is quite hoppy and bitter. If you like grapefruit pith, then you will probably like this beer.
