Served in an Ohio State shaker pint glass.

*sigh* Maybe one day I'll not be garbage at Spelunky... Anyway, this stuff pours a partly-hazy brass-gold topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises light honey, mild biscuit, and funky lemon zest. The taste holds notes of mild lemon zest, light coriander, and light cracked wheat. The body straddles the line between hefty light and light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a decent little brew, but nothing really interest-piquing. This is the last of the first four offerings from O'So to hit this area, and, frankly, I haven't been close to impressed by any of them.

Pours out a very murky, hazy dark golden color with a flash head and no real lacing. Lighter side of medium body, medium carbonation levels.

Smells of light floral tones (specifically rose petals) over a wheat-bready yeasty sort of graininess. Tastes slightly more like cereal grains and slightly less like yeast than the aroma had. I'm not sure why this deserves to be called a Belgian style beer, because I'm only getting the rose hips and the subtle vanilla-oak flavor which seems to be completely obscuring any abbey yeast fruitness elements that might exist...I just can't find them.

However, by no means is this a bad beer. It has a good wheat flavor to it, tempered by the florals. It just needs more complexity and more belgian aspects in order to truly shine. As it stands, it is a wheat-vanilla-rose petal beer, and nothing else.

I picked up this single 12oz brown bottle as part of a build-your-own six pack at the Binny's store in Bloomingdale, IL. $9.99 for six, so $1.67 for a single bottle. No freshness date. The label describes this as a Belgian blonde.

The beer poured a murky yellow pear color and did not produce any head - just a rim of white foam on top that dissipated quickly. I didn't get any lacing either. Not a very pretty beer to look at.

Not much smell to this either. There's a little Belgian yeast and fruit with some mild herbal and floral hops underneath.

Tinally some good things to say. The taste is good. Actually getting some wheat flavor (which would account for the cloudiness), along with Belgian yeast, lemon, and orange flavors. Herbal and flowery hops add some balance,

Surprisingly thick and full bodied for a summer beer, yet it still manages to be refreshing with the moderately high carbonation.

Not much to look at or smell, but it's really tasty. I like it.
