Served in a snifter at Bigby's Pour House.

I finally get another chance to try something from Aleman, and it's another collaboration. Now, I've got nothing against the collaborative spirit, but still... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear sunset amber topped by a finger of lightly off-cream-white foam. The nose comprises light orange rind, very light flaky biscuit, mild flowers, and even milder and lighter grass. The taste holds notes of biscuit, mild greens, and a few sprinklings of flowers. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda drying finish. Overall, a kinda mediocre little beer, one that doesn't seem to try to distinguish itself in any way. It's not necessarily bad, per se, but it's not something I'd be comfortable calling "good".

On-tap at Lunar Brewing Co - Villa Park, IL

Poured a hazy tangerine-orange color with a fluffy off-white head. Floral nose with citric orange and woodsy cedar in the background. Interesting, but pleasantly balanced notes of caramel, honey, orange rind, grapefruit, cedar, and yeast. Mouth-feel was very creamy with ample carbonation, medium body, semi-bitter but clean finish. The cedar is present, but still takes a backseat to the White IPA flavors. Overall, better than expected. I would revisit this one if given the opportunity.
