Quick note, though though the beer board cites 8oz pours, those beers were actually poured in 12oz belgian glassware for our party (though they were not belgian or belgian style). Based on other reviews it's possible your experience may vary.
Love the atmosphere here, it's the kind of place high rents prevent from ever happening in Seattle. Very very Portland laid back, if this was my local I'd be happy. Large space but not intimidating. I'd guess 150 could be in here comfortably. Looks like they have a very nice brewing system in the back, though they haven't used it in a year and a half? Odd; hopefully that changes.
19 taps on at my visit, mostly local with many seasonals. Had a strange dark wit from Ft. George that I'd rather forget, but I'm happy to have had the chance to learn that :). Good balance of hoppy and malty beers and of course "no crap on tap". Okay, they did have a Lindeman's fake lambic on. Food was pretty avg ( Pork sliders and a brat) but the setting doesn't suggest it should be more than that. Very cool place.

They ran out of pint glasses so we got a random assortment of stemware. Bar itself didn't do much in terms of character, and my first beer was such a dud I was questioning the quality. Fortunately turned out to be a meh beer not a quality control issue.

The Green Dragon is one of my favorite beer bars in Portland. Despite consistently having 55+ beers on tap and dozens more available in bottles/cans, they don't attract quite the crowds that places like Horse Brass or Belmont Station do. If you want to spread out or even play a board game at your table, that will fly here.
They have a small production brewery that is used by both Buckman Botanical Brewery and Green Dragon Brew Crew use (expect 5+ of their beers to be on tap at all times). They are also owned by Rogue, so expect to see some Rogue presence (products for sale, beers on tap, etc.).

So it's the Green Dragon pub with the Buckman Brewery inside of it and it's apparently all owned by Rogue? Well whatever it is, it was great. Great environment, selection, knowledgable bartenders. I dig it

What you can expect: Some good beers and some mediocre ones. Rogue's usual sub par service.

About 55 brews on tap with six or so of them brewed in-house. Great and varied selection. Good service and nice place with beer memorabilia all over the place. Well worth stopping in and grabbing a few.

This is practically across the street from Cascade Barrel House so we decided to stop in and check it out. The place is absolutely huge. Multiple rooms, lots of bar space with community sitting and tables mixed throughout the main room.
The tap list is impressive if you are not a local. Even though is owned by Rouge, you will only find a handful of their beers on tap. It is mostly local offering, however, the quality of those local offerings is average. The service was spotty, as I think we caught them at a weird time (3pm) and the one waitress seemed to be running around and then occasionally having to tend to the bar.
Overall, enjoyed my time there, but I wouldn't make it a point to stop in again if back in Portland.
