Notes/Commercial Description:
Rules are meant for breaking when it comes to beer styles. This unrecognized beer style (Imperial Hefeweizen) is similar in flavor and aroma to our Weissenheimer Hefeweizen, but brewed with only the first-wort runnings for twice the strength and body and with twice the hops to keep everything in balance.

Growler pour into a pint glass. Murky brownish orange color that looks like muddy rainwater. Foam is thin and rapidly fades. Some initial head that settles to a broken skim on a second pour.

Softly sweet aroma of banana creme pie, citrusy orange, dusty wafer candy, some perceptible hoppiness.

Lemony and wheaty, mellow herbal hops, slightly tart orange juice. Low carbonation, a little sweet, somewhat creamy texture. The finish arrives quick with some dusty wheat sweetness. Fruity orange, grapefruit, apricot. It could really use a little more carbonation, it's a little juice-like and astringent. Its an interesting beer, just doesn't come off much like a hefeweizen (or an imperial version for that matter).
