Great beer. Up there with Nelson and Heady. Pretty funny that the Mission version is rated lower than the Alpine version even though they're the same beer.

Type: Draft
Glass: Pint glass
From: Alpine Beer Company in Alpine, Calif.
Price: $5.00
Purchased: Jan. 28, 2015
Consumed: Jan. 28, 2015
Misc.: Collaboration between Mission Brewery and Alpine Beer Company
Poured a copper, orange, murky color with a small amount of white head when I got it. Sporadic, spotty lacing on the sides of the glass. Average retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled lots of hops up front. Got Simcoe, floral, Citra, Mosaic, grapefruit, nectarine, unknown spicy hops and caramel. Also reminded me slightly of a white IPA. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted bitterness right away, initially reminded me of a Port Wipeout IPA. Also some Simcoe hops, Amarillo hops, Mosaic hops, sharp grapefruit rind, tangerine rind, tropical hops, floral hops, Citra hops, funky hops, pine and booziness. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Astringent, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.50)
I was a bit disappointed overall. Not quite all the way there, but maybe I’ll give it another try when I’m 100 percent healthy. (Overall - 3.50)
