look: 3.75 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3.25

Pours cloudy orange with a decent head and excellent lacing that lingers for a long time !!. Aroma is mild with both pine and citrus coming forward. Taste is average with the hops biting at the tongue and a hint of citrus rind. Carbonation is good and end taste is bitter. The end bitterness is almost too much, even bringing out a slight metallic taste. Overall, decent IPA, my first brew from Mission.........

A: Orangey gold body with a chewy white head and chunky lacing.
S: Orange marmalade and fudge.
T: Nice and bitter. Orange marmalade with some elderflower is the hop profile. Alleluia, it has malt character, one which is kind of syrupy and slightly biscuity. When it all comes together on the tongue there's a nice bite. It's slightly sweet and rightly so. Despite the bitterness it's not astringient. Towards the end there's tea leaves.
O: American IPAs are a homogeneous bunch. Some are great and some are shit. This was great, but not as good as Sculpin. I imagine fresh it's probably fantastic.
