Poured from a twelve ounce bottle into a standard pint glass.
Chill-hazed apricot in color, with a moderate head of off-white foam.
Aroma-Big, juicy, piney hops
Taste-Brimming with juicy, piney hops, mango, ruby red grapefruit. Tasty and quite drinkable for the strength. A solid imperial IPA.

12oz bottle that I wisely purchased for $3 instead of a bomber or four pack. Orange color, good head and lace, appearance is good. Aroma is very boring, old malt, I don;t think there are any hops. Flavor is much the same and very disappointing. I ended up pouring this out, not because it was disgusting but just because it was such a weak DIPA that it wasn't worth my drinking time. I suspect Mission sent old beer to CO which is a very poor way to enter a market, I expected a lot more from a San Diego brewery when it comes to IPA's. I won't be purchasing any more of their beer.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass

A- Pours slightly hazy copper orange color. A one finger of an off white head.

S- Pine, cat piss. A bit of a cinnamon and clove as well. Not what I would expect from an imperial IPA.

T- A big bitterness at first. A very floral hop profile. Grassy, onion notes and spicy garlic. There is also some pineapple and mango. A strange, plain malt backbone A slight clove spiciness, somewhat christmassy. More bitter then flavorful. A strange IPA.

M- A bitter sting and a decent body at best.

O- Disappointing. An odd take on an IPA

This is the second of three Missions I have accepted for this weekend. Like the blonde, I like this one. It has the right color and plenty of head.

It has enough aroma so you know what's coming. Somewhat boozy aroma, but no funky artifacts. The taste is like the smell. Not quite syrupy, but plenty malty. It's a pretty good balance overall. The aftertaste is somewhat boozy too.

I might buy this again but the $3/bottle price tag will probably have me looking elsewhere.

Pours a dark orange with gold/amber accents and a two-finger head that quickly fades down to lacing.

Citrusy hops upfront with only a touch of buttery malt underneath. Hop-dominant, just as I like them.

A slow-acting shot of bitterness drenches the tongue with a strong touch of grapefruit. Tangy. Spicy.

Alcohol warmth leaves a satisfying warmness in the belly with hops on the breath. Whew. Better hops than garlic.

Good slow-burnin' DIPA for fans of the West Coast style.
