Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a fine half finger off-white head with good retention and lacing. Intriguing aroma of sweet bready and caramel malt, light stone fruits and root herbs with light piney hops. Not as hop forward as I'd expect from an IIPA, but the overall aroma is very nice. Flavor is bready malt with juicy, piney hops, grapefruit and lemon citrus and sweet light stone fruit. Finishes with a nice lingering citrus and blended hop bitterness. Medium bodied with hints of creaminess. The hops do not stand out in this ale, with less fresh herbal hop presence than I'd expect, but the malt and hops are well balanced and this is quite pleasant to drink.

Orange with significant radiance this brew had a proud thick head. The collaring was thick and creamy and congealed.

The aroma has alot of malt with some relative sweetness. I find hints of so many odd things such as pecan, lemongrass, honey, roasted cracker and iced tea.

I had some high expectations but seem to get a lot of alcohol. It overpowers the fundamental elements of the style and ends quite metallic. I let it air out and begin to get the malt and grain but still find little hop character. This beer is pretty fresh so I'm not concerned with that point it just comes across so brash. The feel is not nearly as harsh with a little alcohol warmth but it's smooth enough.

Paid $5 for a 12 oz bottle and got a nice buzz from the 9percent ABV but it sure doesn't hide it.

Brilliant deep copper with a frothy one inch beige head that slowly dissipates, leaving spotty sheets of lacing.

Bready, toasty, nutty caramel malt dominates the aroma initially, with hints of citrus, resin, and dank cannabis adding complexity. Seems fairly earthy.

More citrusy in flavor, with tangerines and lemons underlying a slightly sweet caramel malt backbone. The finish is fairly bitter and a touch resiny. Tropical flavors of mango and papaya emerge. Acetone emerges as it warms.

Body is a tad full, with moderate carbonation and substantial alcohol warmth.

Pretty rich brew, with enough flavoring hops and malt to counter the rubbish. Somewhat hot, and perhaps too sweet for some palates.
