Finally made it over. Practically took an act of Congress (and we all know how well they work) but well worth the 4 hour trip each way.
A very cool looking place, wood floors, bar at the back with a dozen tables and several armchairs in addition. 10 can sit at the bar and fret about which Buddha brew or guest tap to try.
Music playing really adds to the hipster vibe. A small stage to one side for live music.
On the Wednesday I stopped in, pizzas were 25% off. Happy hour from 5-7 pm Monday - Friday gets you 2 for 1 on their brews. Most are $5, some are $6.
At the moment, seven of their brews are on tap with ten guest taps and nearly a dozen bottles available.

The Funky Buddha creates quality craft brews with an awesome laid back atmosphere. I have lived behind the Brewery and Lounge every since it opened when it was just a hookah lounge. Funky Buddha has made a name for themselves and it has clearly made a lasting impression on the beer world. Funky Buddha makes amazing crafts beers that are truly one of a kind. The beers like their Last Snow White Chocolate Coconut Coffee Porter are some of the most unique crafts i have ever come across and they leave you always wanting more. The atmosphere is that of a coffee shop in Amsterdam. If you live in South Florida and are into the craft beer scene then i am sure you are aware of the product Funky Buddha puts out. If you are a lucky enough to be a local then you can become a member of their 18oz Snifter club and enjoy larger pours for the same price. Funky Buddha happy hour is great with discounted Funky Buddha Drafts from 5-7pm or 8pm if you are a Snifter Member.

Atmosphere = A+
Quality = A+

Service = A+
Overall = A++

Came here withthe wife on our way down to the Florida Keys.

Located in crappy strip mall setting, the exterior was underwhelming and definitely not what I expected. Open the door and you are magically taken to hipster town. Nice atmosphere with a stage for live music.

Service at the bar was good, one of the new brewers waited on us and shared much about the different beers and told us about other breweries in the area.

Beer was solid, we tried so of the berliner varieties which were our favorite, but sadly MBCS not here all the time like it should be.

Prices were fair, I think $8 for sampler and 5$ for pint.

Great experience, will stop by again. We missed wide awake by one day!

The best beers around, period. Seriously people, I will try anything the Buddha makes, including the Berliner Weiss that I am not a fan of, some of theirs I have enjoyed. Founders member for the new production brewery opening soon, its been amazing seeing them grow from the beginning to where they are now. MY FAVORITE BEERS AND MY FAVORITE BEER BAR!

Visited on a Monday during the tail end of Happy Hour. Should begin that I was very skeptical of this highly hyped place at the outset.

Located in a past-its-prime ugly strip mall off a busy road. Few tables outside - who the hell would ever sit there?

Neat looking hipster joint on the inside. Large stage to the right, collection of couches, tables, high back chairs, etc. Comfy. Friend & I sat down & waited for service...& waited...& waited...even though only a few other folks there. Finally took matters into my own hands & went to the bar myself to order some beers. More waiting while the barkeep tended to various duties

1st up was the Hefe - meh. On par with a Widmer Hefe...drinkable with no obvious flaws but forgettable. Ok maybe the next beer, a Porter, will cheer me up.

Porter was a 1 trick pony with just a roast flavor & no depth or character. Why do I hear about people in NYC & Philly lining up & geeking out over this brewery? Aha - they have an IPA on tap....that must be the star of the show.

As it turns oh the IPA was the biggest train wreck of all. Loaded with Diacetyl & virtually no hop presence whatsoever. I might say it was just an "off" batch but seeing how other basic styles weren't show stoppers, its probably par for the course. Perhaps FB can only brew beer with bacon & pineapple to mask brewing faults?

Split a hookah with my friend which was enjoyable, but wasn't willing to drink any other FB beers.

I've only been to the lounge twice, just to preface. The first time, me and my girlfriend were the only people there and got a flight of beers, most of which were decent to great. They had about 8-10 of their own beers on at that time, though they were out of a few from the weekend that sounded good. Our bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable, plus he was obviously just as obsessed with craft beer culture as we are so we had a lot to talk about. My first impression of the place was a good one especially since I saw their stage and how awesome it would be to see a show there cuz of all the comfy couches laid out around the room.

So, a couple months later, we went to go see two bands perform there. This time, it was pretty crowded throughout the night but we were still able to lock down a couple of chairs with perfect view of the stage. They didn't have as many of their own beers available this time around which was a disappointment, so we utilized their small but impressive selection of other bigger breweries' beers as well as their substantial bottle list. The mistake we made this time around was ordering food. It was $6.90 for a 5-cheese pizza. I ordered one and asked if I could add mushrooms and peppers only to be told no as they explained that everything was pre-made. That kind of weirded me out but I ordered anyway thinking "How bad could it be?" Five minutes later they plopped down a 6 inch cheese pizza that was obviously purchased from the frozen food section of the nearest supermarket. Biggest ripoff ever. Needless to say, if you go here, DO NOT ORDER FOOD. Stick to the beer, hookahs and kava tea. Oh and, I don't know if it only applies to food orders, but they put an automatic 18% gratuity on our check which I felt was unfair, but whatever. The bands were great, as expected, and it was a cheap ticket. All in all, I don't see myself going back there unless I know for sure they're going to have the Maple Bacon Coffee Porter on, which wasn't the case either time they went.

Edit: Went back during a Special Release Anniversary party and the Maple Bacon was available and it was the best coffee beer I've ever had. So there ya go.
