12oz bottle poured into a 20oz Otter Creek glass.

Not a shabby pilsner at all! A bit on the weak side, but all the flavors are there. Color was a bit weak, but it seems to match the lighter flavors. The beer is 4.8% after all.

At 7.50 a sixer from the Cork, I could see this becoming my favorite session beer.

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to review the beer I have. It has a similar label to the one pictured, but it's not quite the same. And the brewery is listed as Eichbaum-Brauereien AG, Mannheim, Germany. I think perhaps it's the same beer brewed in several locations.

In any case, it pours a crystal-clear straw-gold body beneath a snow-white head that holds fairly well, dwindling down steadily. The lacing, however, doesn't do so well.

Green-bottle syndrome strikes again, and it is, of course, light-struck. Beyond that it offers sweetish grain and herbal and spicy hops... the typical euro-pils aroma.

The flavor and mouth feel are typical as well. It's sweet and then infused with hops, and then bitter. It never really gets that bitter or hoppy though, although the acidity is fairly sharp and it finishes crisp and dry. Some nice hops swirl about, spicy, grassy, and gently herbal. Not bad. Enjoyable, but fairly mainstream.

Pale gold with a modest white head. Some lacings. Has the usual skunked aroma of the green glass bottle. Taste is very solid euro-pils with a pleasant grassy flavor, sweey malts countered by a dry bitter finish. Overall a good session pils. I could drink quite a few.

Single, 11.2 oz bottle just purchased from Gary's in Madison...
This is a classic depiction of a true-to-the-style German Pilsener...
Pours a clear, lucid, golden-hue with an impressive-sized frothy head that quickly receded and deposited a thin film of lacing around the edge of the serving glass...
Spritzy, pepperish aroma with hints of slight honey...
Taste, likewise, was also very pepperish, a true-to-the style beer with hints of lemon, seltzer, carbonation, along with a clean, refreshing bite...
Really good stuff...

Dirt cheap tall can found is Venice Italy, it was 40 something euro cents.

Pours a slightly hazy gold color with a decent white head.

Smells kind of grassy, and almost a little skunked, with some faint citrus as well.

Tastes pretty clean and simple. Faint flavors of cereal malty sweetness, and very subtle mineral and light citrus hops as well. This is almost taste like "German Pilsener Light."

Mouthfeel ok, crisp, with ok body.

Drinkability is pretty good. Very refreshing, goes down easy, but is kind of boring on the taste front, but it does have subtle pilsener flavors that make it mildly interesting.

Appearance: Poured from a can into an Irish pub style (real) pint glass in low altitude Galway, Ireland, on September 20th, 2010. Pours a clear yellow-gold with a five finger head that quickly disintegrates to three fingers. Head is a little thick but devoid of cream. An appealing appearance, all things considered.

Smell: A weak smell, but a pleasant one. Some hops pull through. I don't know what to call it, but it's fresh and inviting. Difficult to detect individual flavours with me broken nose.

Taste: A slightly off opening that leads into a weak (but balanced) single note of slightly watery barley. The finish is appropriately bitter.

Mouthfeel: Too wet. Strange texture is manipulated nastily by the undertone. The finish adulterates it with a bit more dry feel, but it isn't enough to save it.

Drinkability: At this price point, it's actually a pretty good option over the garbage lagers available. I might buy it again if I want something cheap, but it won't satisfy a pilsner lover's desires any time soon.

From a 50 cl can that I purchased in northern Italy: this brew is a completely clear yellow. The head is nearly nonexistant soon after the pour, although it's notably carbonated and small bubbles rise throughout the experience. There is a very faint, distant flowery hop aroma to the beer, but little else in the smell. It's really a bit of a let-down. I'd hoped for a full and rounded nose. The taste is a bit better, although dry and griany. There's a small grassy note as well. Light in body, but not watery, the beer has a decent moughfeel. The carbonation certainy contributes to there. Not much of a finish. Unfortunately, this is a weak and underwhelming brew.

Found this in a Kaufland in Shumen, Bulgaria, and decided to give it a shot.

A: Pale gold in color, typical, with a pure white head that has ok retention. Average.

S: Nice smell of biscuits and fresh bread. I was pretty surprised by how good this smelled. Hop presence is somewhat subdued however.

T: Disappointing after the smell. Somewhat watery, but also with a small hit of malt. Soury and somewhat grainy. Finishing with a touch of bread again and some sourness. Average.

M: Somewhat thin and a bit watery, but typical of beers over here.

D: This one was ok and I could see myself buying this again. It's somewhat on par with some of the other Bulgarian beers, and I can see why it was included in the stock of this store in Bulgaria. A pretty average lager with not a lot of upside, but no real bad notes either.

this one tastes of caned corn and sour mash, then a bad balance of hops kickes in at the end, over all this one is watery, thin and foul, this also has a matlick taste. this is a beer that i will never drink agan, this is a piss poor meshing of sour to bitter that smells good but the flavor sucks at every stage. as it warms the bitter mellows out but is still nasty and matalick, this is a real bad beer

This is a pretty poor pils, but expected for the price range (this is a budget beer). It has a decent appearance, but for the most part this beer comes of as watery, weak and bland. Weak malt profile, slightly sour, musty aroma. Won’t try this again.

Firstly ill have to say i think this stuff is cheap. It makes you burp and hop so fu@@@ much! Bitter. Like if you are drinking this with anything, its just going to ruin the taste. Just Saying.

Appearance boring. I mean i have seen worse styles but this one is nothing better.green stripes save it.

Fairly ok smell, like, bitter, but you like it. Nothing really alcoholic, as u can see from the low abv. I expected something with more raisins or something. But no.

The taste was really bitter. So bitter that i couldnt really taste anything else. Also, some metallic taste i could get, whatever it is its not pleasant

Mouthfeel was wet. Which Made me want to swallow it as quick as possible. Which i did, resulting in the;

Dizziness. If you are really not used to cheap beer you are NOT allowed to drink this.. Evar!!
