appreciably dry, thats my favorite part of this red, its not sweet like some american ambers, definitely more of an irish dry type, which i think is appealing in this beer, which is medium bodied but full of carbonated life. decent hops on it too, bitter enough but real drinkable. intentionally safe i reckon, but its the good safe, the kind thats born from an understanding that your recipe is really pretty polished. medium bodied and fluffy in feel. magically refreshing when cold, but less nice when it warms up, so drink it quick. the carbonation, which starts brilliantly, is also constantly depreciating. there may be a touch of interesting grain in here, id guess flaked oats in some proportion, it has that softness. davidson has proved to me this week that their beer is all solid, but a step below incredible, maybe a step and a half, but i havent had one i wouldnt drink again.
