Located somewhat halfway between Magnolia and Toronado.
We've got a real hip vibe going on here: ladies talking too loudly so the world notices them, and just a ton of people. However, none of that turned me off to the place. Cool decor, and clean. Food menu was great. The sushi was some of the better prepared stuff I have had. I put it on par with the now closed Le Miu in NYC and the same level of choice fish as Sasabune in Honolulu. Beer selection was very good, but way too reasonably priced. I am certainly happy to pay $12 for batch 23 Damnation, but on a business side of things, and since its SF, they could be charging more. Hats off to them though for not gouging.
I haven't tried it, but people rave about the chowder.
Do keep in mind this is a younger kind of place. It's very nice, but not sure my parents would appreciate it as much as I.

Atmosphere was lively, even for a Friday night. Waitstaff seemed very busy, and the bar was packed to the back wall. We had a reservation for 9:00 but didn't get seated till 9:30. Didn't mind, since they had people on the floor taking drink orders. Had about 5 beers on draught, 2 of which were new to me. Moonlight, Sudwerk Russian River, Ballast Point, etc. Bottle list was solid, organized by flavor characteristics. Markup was much lower than expected for a sort of high end restaurant. Food ranged from blah to outstanding. The seafood bisque and lobster beet salad were standout dishes. The raw seasoned fish sampler was expensive and underwhelming. Overall, I was impressed, and would come here again.
