I came here this past weekend on a Friday night to a packed bar. The decor is nice, but it is a bit too upscale for my taste.
The service was great. The bartender was both knowledgeable and helpful. He made me feel very comfortable and offered suggestions. He even gave me a taste of a rare off menu beer that was absolutely delicious. Also, the host knew I was looking for a spot at the bar and came to get me when it came available. They go above and beyond and created a very enjoyable experience. It also helped that we spent plenty of money here. It's a bit expensive, but not unreasonably so.
The selection is impressive, but not amazing. I'd give it a 4.25 if I could. It had some very interesting tap and bottled beers, but the vintage list was a bit disappointing. If they expanded this list I could easily see them getting a 4.5. A more interesting tap offering would also help them out, though it was certainly good.
I highly recommend this place. It gets crowded, but has a great bottle list and a decent atmosphere. However, the service is truly exceptional.
