Located just off of 880 in Oakland (and just a few blocks from Beer Revolution). This is a pretty nice place, though you wouldn't really know it was there from the outside.
The inside is well decorated and has a classy feel to it. The only real downer is that the bar is quite small and cramped. It sort of gives the Trappist its character, though.
They had quite a bit of interesting/cool/good stuff on-tap which was very nice to see. The downer is that those beers are expensive. Most beers tend to be $7 or $8 for a 8-11 ounce pour, which is bordering on excessive to me.
The woman tending the bar was quite nice and helpful and offered samples to customers if they were unsure about a beer they were considering.
It is a cool place with a good selection, but the prices are really a bummer to me. I think I'd rather just head down the street to Beer Revolution for a reasonably priced beer or bottle.

Went with three friends.
Great place to get a beer. The atmosphere is good, nothing special, but it's a nice neighborhood-ey joint. Narrow space, nice bar, not much seating otherwise unless you go out back.
Great selection. Belgian-focused, but quite a few Belgian-style and sour beers from around the country. Happy to see Jolly Pumpkin. Bartender was great, giving plenty of suggestions and tasters.
Didn't try the food.
This and beer revolution are the two complementary spots to visit in Oakland.
