Right Brain's answer to 'light' beers. Made with crystal clear water from Lake Michigan, but never watered down. A bold and easy to drink Cream Ale highlighted by satisfying notes of honey and biscuit.

Pours clear and pale (SRM 3). One inch of fine white head is quickly dispatched. Lacing forms thin streaks on a pilsner glass, while the head forms a thin fog.

The aroma has an odd brine quality with cooked corn. Hops have a faint herbal and spicy sensation.

Cooked corn gives way to earthiness and mild bitterness. There is no real sweetness. The finish is dry and astringent.

It has a medium body and the texture of scratchy/coarse wool. As expected, there is no sensation of alcohol. Carbonation is modest and prickly.

This one is a miss. It's not bad, just lacks interesting qualities. I imagine it would be best suited as a thirst quencher after a day of yard work.

Pours a pale yellow color with a foamy white head that disappears quickly. No discernable aroma. Sweet creamy taste of hops. Finishes slightly bitter. Good mouth feel.

Drank straight from the can. Decent aromas and flavors. Biscuit and grain, grass in the nose, with sweet biscuit and grassy flavors across the tongue, just a touch of fruit, maybe lemon without the tartness. A close cousin to Short's Local's. Right Brain has a solid stable of cream ales going for them.

Pours a pale golden color with thick head that thins to a half an inch. Smell is like an adjunct lager, lots of corn aromas, but a little sweeter. Tastes like an adjunct lager at first, but is more carbonated and a little hoppy. Overall it's a decent beer. It's a step up from a adjunct lager and compared to a light lager it's several steps above.

Bought as part of an all-Michigan make-your-own sixer at Holiday Market in Royal Oak, MI.

Poured from a pounder can into a standard dimpled mug.

A: Pours a light, yellow hay color with a thick white head that dissipates quickly.

S: Sweet and grainy

T: Not much going on, taste-wise. There are faint notes that follow the smell, but nothing too pronounced. It's fairly watery.

M: Light, clean, and fizzy.

O: Despite it not tasting like much, I'm very okay with this beer. I don't love it, but I could see myself drinking it while doing yardwork or at the beach. What it lacks in flavor, it more than makes up for in refreshment.

On tap into a pint glass

A - Golden in color and slightly hazy. Very thin white lacing for a head. Moderate carbonation. 3.75/5

S - Aroma is focused on corn and herbal hops. Very muted, almost non-existent. 3/5

T - Corn, sourdough bread, and buttery. Herbal hop finish. Very simple but very pleasing to the palate at the same time. Corn sweetness balances the sourdough and hops nicely. 3.75/5

M - Moderate carbonation tickle. Somewhat creamy but light at the same time. Light to medium body. Leaves the mouth coated for an extended period of time. 3.75/5

O - Good cream ale. Nicely balanced and variety of flavors is well executed and layered. Not sure why the aroma was so muted, could have been my environment... 3.75/5

Pours a pale straw yellow with a finger of creamy head that reduces very quickly and leaves zero lace. Smell is of grass, lemon, bread dough, and pear. Wheat grass, grainy malts, banana, malts balance out with a smooth creamy finish. Overall, decent brew, but does not live up to the "yet to find a beer like this in the world" billing that is printed on the can. I can't say I'll be racing back to the store to get this one.

Very light, seems similar to a typical American Macro but slightly better, not enough to justify the cost though.
