A-Deep brown with reddish highlights with a thin tan head that retains nicely and leaves decent lace.

S-Rich and roasty with a healthy dose of cocoa/ dark chocolate and a bit of spiciness in the background.

T-CHOCOLATE! Plenty of dry/bitter cocoa chocolate flavour with a nice supporting roasted dark malt. The ancho chili aspect is very subtle, as it should be.

M-Medium body with a boatload of lingering chocolate bitterness. Dry finish.

D-Ha....this is a chocolate lovers dream beer....delicious!

Reviewed on 6/27/2010. On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a small dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate and spices. Flavor of chocolate and roasted malt up front with a spicy finish that keeps on coming in the mouth. Certainly a lot of chili pepper flavor in this one! I give this an A for effort, but a B for final product because it was a little too spicy for me that it really dominated the beer.

On tap at the Right Brain Brewery in TC, Michigan.

Black with a hugh of burgundy around the top and tinge in the one inch frothy head. Thick lace.

Smells of dark chocolate with just a hint of ancho chilie.

Taste is an exceptional medium bodied chocolate proter with some heat from the ancho peppers in the finish. THe heat lingers a bit but is compromised from the chocolate malts.

Very deliscious and one of my favotite offerings from the RBB.

Keep up the good work!

A: Very Dark Brown almost black with red hues.
S: Chocolate, some spiciness from the chili pepper.
T: Like nothing I have ever drank before. Very very chocolaty and a nice warming spiciness from the chili peppers. Definitely weird but outstanding at the same time. Bitterness is very mild
M: Fairly creamy
D: Great drinkabity on a cold winter day in Northern Michigan. Could get a bit heavy after a few pints.

This beer made my trip to Traverse City. Weird yet outstanding enough to bring be back to Right Brain every time I am in the area.

Poured from a ten-day-old growler into a standard pint glass
Dark brown/black in color with garnet highlights-NIce, dark tan head of foam
Aroma-Being in the growler for ten days has intensified the aroma-Dark chocolate and coffee notes, and a more pronounced chile/spicy aroma
Taste-Wow! The short time in the growler has bumped up all the flavor-More chocolate, more cofee, and a noticeable jump in the spice and warmth of the Ancho chile. I like it!
Overall: I was a little bit worried after storing the growler for ten days but to my delighted tastebuds this beer seemed to have gotten a touch stronger/better in both aroma and flavor. Creamy, smooth, and mouth-warmingly deliscious! Get some before it's gone!!
