Eager to try this on tap at Right Brain while on vacation here.

Appearance – Poured in a tumbler, the beer is a dark ruddy mahogany color with about a half finger of off while head that dissipates somewhat fast leaving slight lacing on the sides of the glass.

Smell – A lively funky tartness, green apple, slight vinegar, and cherry. As the beer warms the aromas become more dramatic and apparent.

Taste – A tart cherry flavor up front which melds to slight barnyard funk. I am not really getting any of the hops/hoppy bitterness that the reviewer below me did. This is more of a straight up sour/oud bruin. At first, the beer is somewhat one dimensional but as it warms the flavors become pronounced, just as the aroma did.

Mouthfeel – Light to medium bodied, decent carbonation.

Overall – A very quaffable and enjoyable sour. A nice stab at the style from Right Brain and I am thinking I’ll go get another glass today. A hint one dimensional and not overly complex, but solid in its own right.

The white board at Right Brain calls this a Farm Style Amber Blend aged in Oak Barrels.

Deep rich brown color, very effervescent, almost champagne-like bubbles. Moderate head that fades quickly.

Very pungent tart aroma, followed by notes of funky-fruitiness.

First sip has the intense sourness of an Oud Bruin, with a hippy bitterness chasing close behind. Sour cherry tartness is quickly detected and very much welcomed. Hoppy bitterness again makes an appearance, this time not as welcome, almost unbalanced. Sourness lingers behind, leaving me looking for another sip. As the beer warms, the bitterness subsides, giving way to the malty body and horse blanket that I would have expected.

Great overall beer, very tasty and worth chasing down if in the area.
