Fairly typical Right Brain experience... sounds interesting, but doesn't quite taste that way... Short's would have done this better. This will be a short review because it needn't be long -- this is a fairly mediocre beer. As most, I was intrigued by the idea of asparagus in a beer. Unfortunately, it barely comes off at all. This essentially drinks like a cheap craft lager with a slight, strange "twang" to it, as if it's starting to bad. Yet, this has a somewhat refreshing finish? Very strange beer, but not for reasons I was expecting. A pretty middle-of-the-road beer that's not as intriguing as you'd probably hope. (624 characters)

a slightly hazy honey golden pour with a finger of head which left behind a decent amount of sticky lacing. a nice asparagus aroma, which was kind of what i was hoping for, with some sweet caramel/sugary malt notes. the asparagus is very dominant on the palate, there is a sweet overtone to the backbone that i can't quite pinpont, but it is a very nice addition to the vegetable flavor. a very strange, but quite tasty beer.

light body with high carbonation, this is quite the refreshing treat for a hot day. after reading the label, i appreciate this one quite a bit. you gotta love breweries that work with their local farms and care about their community. (660 characters)

For what this is, it's very dead on. Basically, we have a blonde-ish beer brewed with asparagus. This results in very evident asparagus in the nose and on the tongue. Bitterness is limited to that which comes naturally to the asparagus and nothing really seems contrived. All told, this is a beer that can truly be appreciated if you are a fan of the spear. (362 characters)

This was on-tap at Right Brain brewery and recently seen in bottles. Appearance is a light pale color pouring with a medium head, smells strongly of fresh asparagus taste is very much the same, very light char, lemon to the back and strong asparagus up front, very refreshing and light beer, perfect for a day of grilling. (322 characters)
