I was very surprised at the taste and drinkability of this pale ale. I am a BIG pale ale fan and I would have to say this is one of the best I have had. The head was good and the taste was exceptional. Price is reasonable and it is by far my favorite out of all the beer the brew. You should try this when you get a chance. A

A - Pours a golden orange with a two-finger creamy white head. The head recedes quickly leaving lots of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma of orange peel, grapefruit, and earthy hops.

T - The taste follows the aroma. Grapefruit and orange peel upfront with a light malt sweetness. Piney hops come through midpalate leaving a light bitterness.

M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Mouthfeel is soft and creamy. Dry finish.

O - This is a nicely balanced Pale Ale. Enjoyable and easy drinking.

Great beer, pours a deep golden color, fresh flowery smell of hops, slightly bitter but citrusy taste, clean aftertaste, and -unfortunately- gone before you know it. All and all great beer.

pours a burnt golden orange, lots of visible slow rising bubbles. 1/4 inch head, moderate lacing,
smells, pine medium roasted malt, grapefruit, very sierra nevada.maybe a hint of butterscotch.
tastes piney, hoppy, again very similar to sierra nevada (i'm not side by side comparing, just very familiar with sierra nevada)
feels full bodied, a little sticky, a little bubbly, a little sharp/crisp
overall a pretty solid apa, but there are some outstanding ones out there, and i would take a sierra nevada over this.

Pours from the can a slightly hazy copper-gold with a lasting, creamy white head.
The scent of citrus is strong in this one. Very nice hits of orange and grapefruit and a little breadiness.
Taste is juicy and pithy citrus right up front with a nice balancing sweetness and a refreshingly clean and bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is medium and smooth.
Overall, really enjoyed this beer. I think it's a wee above average pale ale.

On tap at Nicky's BBQ and bar da the Bronx, NY, a ways back and reviewed from notes.

Pours clear, on the lighter side of almond amber.

Minor off white head, leaves nice looking fine and high lacing.

Grainy hop nose

Pleasantly hopped up and tasty pale. Hops are fresh, resiny and well represented in the mix.

Worth giving this on a try if you see it available in your area.

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, brownish-gold in color, high carbonation, clear

Smell: piney hops

Taste: big time citrus with orange and lemon taking center stage, some pale malt.

Mouthfeel: sweet with slight bitterness and dryness towards the end, dryness at the end, medium-light bodied with moderate-high carbonation

Overall: An excellent good citrusy pale ale. The nose gives no indication of how juicy this pale ale is. One of the better tasting domestic pale ales. Would certainly get a six pack.

Serving glass: Poured from can into Nonic Pint.

Appearance: Clear gold with decent off-white head that then mostly dissipates.

Smell: Caramel and citrus.

Taste: Sweet caramel core with some toastiness. There are some citrus and spicy notes as well, especially on the finish.

Feel: Moderate carbonation, medium body, semi-dry finish.

Overall: Textbook Pale Ale. Nothing fancy but can sometimes hit the spot.

L: Burnished gold with a slight haze under a 1” white foam collar that quickly dissipates but hugs the side of the glass.
S: Big lemony citrus nose with some light grains underneath.
T: Big juicy citrus flavors ride over light malts with a pleasant citrus rind bitter on the finish. Really nice work on the orange citrus with a dose of lemon – like orange lemon marmalade on a light biscuit.
F: Medium carbonation and flavor, creamy,
O: Very pleasurable and drinkable. The brewer has done nice work on the malts and the hop derived fruit flavors, packing a lot into a medium abv beer.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a tall pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright golden orange with a lot of rising bubbles. Solid two fingers of off white head with decent retention. Leaves some good lacing.

Smell: A juicy and earthy hop forward aroma with hints of citrus, grass, and caramel. Citrus fruit hints of orange, lemon, grapefruit, and melon. Earthy hop hints of grass and some pine resin. Solid malt balance with hints of caramel, grains, biscuit, cracker, and yeast. A pretty solid balanced APA aroma.

Taste: Like the smells hints at, a nicely earthy and juicy balanced blend of hops and malt with notes of citrus, grass, and caramel. Earthy hop presence with notes of wet grass and some pine. Citrus hops with notes of orange, grapefruit, lemon, and some melon. Good presence of sweet malt with notes of caramel, cracker, biscuit, grains, and yeast. A pretty decent taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp, juicy, and pretty smooth with a drying finish.

Overall: A pretty solid take on a American Pale Ale. A well balanced mix of hops and malt.
