Our India Pale Ale has a pronounced hop bitterness and wonderful hop aroma. The taste immediately gives away the high hop characteristics with malt aspects playing second fiddle to this fantastic example of the style.

On tap at David Copperfields here in NYC.

I fully enjoyed this beer. A nice departure from the crazy-ass hop bombs that I'm getting tired of. Very nice balance, excellent malt flavor and balanced bittering that seemed somewhat different from the typical citrus hopping most IPA's are about.

Beautiful ruby red color. Had never heard of this brewery but I'd certainly have more next time I encounter it. (405 characters)

Pours a dark copper-red with a slight head that quickly dissipates and leaves generous lacing behind.
The aroma is loaded: dank, citrus, pine, sweet melon and a hint of white bread.
taste is bitter and sweet with plenty of citrus and pine hitting my plate first with some following dankness and dry and bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is on the thin end of medium and a bit sticky.
Overall, a decent IPA. (397 characters)

12 oz can. Pours clear copper orange with a medium creamy off white head that retains fairly well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet soapy malts with some fruit and stinky, resiny hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malts (slightly biscuity crystal) and fruit with a big resiny, tarry bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a decent IPA, just not my thing. I'm not a huge fan of the biscuit malt and the tarry hops. (469 characters)

On tap at the Birdsall House in Peekskill, NY. Poured nearly clear, glowing almond amber, with bubbles rising and supporting a lighter khaki head, leaving scattered bits of fine lace on the glass. moderate hopped nose, resiny in nature. The moderate nature of the hop approach continues onto the tongue and mouth, resiny/grainy, but not much more then moderate in their presence. Middle of the road IPA, nothing special...Unlikely I'd go for this one again (456 characters)

Appearance: 1/3 inch head, copper in color, high carbonation, clear

Smell: citrus hops and toasted malt

Taste: citrus hops, toasted malt, honey, slight resin

Mouthfeel: sweet start with a dry bitter backbone, light bodied with high carbonation

Overall: A high quality, clean, and well crafted IPA. Nice citrusy flavors and not overly bitter. I would consider picking up a six pack of this again. (399 characters)

Serving glass: Poured from can into Imperial Pint.

Appearance: Cloudy amber-orange with nice, off-white head and good lacing.

Smell: Sharp citrus that is definitely Citra hops. Some pine, pineapple and a little bit dank as well.

Taste: Very hoppy and juicy, with grapefruit, orange and pineapple. Fairly dank, with notes of marijuana and onion. The finish is quite bitter and piney. I guess there are some malts under there but I wasn't really paying attention to them.

Feel: Moderate carbonation, medium to full that is fairly oily, very dry.

Overall: Excellent IPA that is very juicy and hoppy. Quite underrated IMO. (623 characters)

L: Pours brilliant dark amber to light brown under a clingy, very lacey, light cream colored 3” foam cap that drops to an inch after 3 minutes. S: Citrus, lemon, an earthiness and a hint of wood aroma. T: Big malt flavors with layers of bitterness throughout tempered by a slight spicy sweetness at the beginning that finishes dry. F: Creamy, medium body and carbonation. O: A very drinkable American IPA. (407 characters)

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a tall pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a deep amber orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Big three finger off white head with decent retention. Leaves a good amount of lacing.

Smell: A crisp, juicy, and earthy hop forward aroma with hints of citrus and grass. Citrus hop hints of grapefruit, orange peel, pineapple, lemon, mango, and melon. Earthy and floral hops with hints of pine resin and grass. Solid malt backing with hints of sweet caramel, biscuit, yeast, and cracker. A pretty solid aroma.

Taste: Like the smell indicates, a juicy and piney hop forward taste with good notes of citrus, pine, and grass. Upfront citrus hops with notes of orange peel, grapefruit, lemon zest, pineapple, mango, and melon. Solid presence of earthy and floral hops with a dank presence of pine resin and grass. Good sweet malt backing with notes of caramel, grains, biscuit, and yeast. A pretty good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp, juicy, and pretty smooth with a drying finish.

Overall: A very solid West Coast style IPA. Good notes of citrus and pine with a solid malt presence. (1,160 characters)

Burnished copper colored with a low frothy head of dimpled off-white foam that settles out quickly to a low cap. Aroma of tangerine and mango, some subtle piney notes.

Big hop flavors upfront, lots of citrus, grapefruit rind, and sappy pine, with some floral notes. Good malt balance rides beneath, but the hops keep punching their way to the surface. Hop flavor lingers long, piney notes linger. Even mouthfeel, creamy and full, but finishes semi-tingly. Very good beer. (477 characters)

A little darker colored than your traditional IPA. Great aroma, very piney and sweet. Solid flavor, strong malt backbone but a good dose of hops. Bitter, pine, touch of citrus, earthy. Feels a bit too heavy but a solid IPA overall. Try this if you like your IPA's to have some malt, but not too much. (300 characters)
