Stopped by this place on the way to a few other stores in Plano that I wanted to check out. I'd seen it on here but saw that it had changed owners and people seemed to think the quality of the place had gone down.

I had never been here before the owners changed, but man was this place a disappointment. Unorganized, cramped and dark. All the coolers were filled with swill like Shocktop and Bud Light, while the shelves were thinly stocked with some bombers, a few six packs and some four packs. Nothing was priced. I asked about the price of a four pack of Founder's Breakfast Stout and was told "$11.99, I think." You THINK? But then the labels in front of them on the shelves said "$10.99 SIx Pack Longnecks", though there were no six packs in sight of these labels. Incredibly confusing! As I was leaving the guy asked, "Are you going to get it?" NOPE, don't think so. Later I found the Breakfast stout refrigerated and at a slightly cheaper price.

While there was a decent selection of beers on the shelves all of them I had seen at cheaper prices at other locations, and often the other locations had them refrigerated. While it wasn't MUCH more expensive here I felt that the customer service and atmosphere of the place was lacking enough that it wasn't worth giving the place my money.

Steer clear.

Place changed owners 6 months ago. New owner promptly lost 2 solid beer guys (Mar and Stephen) and the wine lady (Susan). Say this only because reviews older than Dec 2012 are for a totally different place.

They used to do tasting every week (sometimes twice a week) where Mar and Stephen would pick random unique beers to introduce people to. The new owner (Bob?) only has tastings when he can get the rep to come do the tasting (thereby making the rep buy the beer).

The new owner does not know craft beer at all. He will try and sell you a new over priced beer that they just got in. When you ask him the price or how it is, he states "it is good. Uh I don't know the price" He then pretends he knows nothing about the setting of the prices even though HE'S the owner.

The real craft beer selection appears to be diminishing and the 'fake' craft beer (think blue moon, third shift, etc) appears to be growing.

Prices have risen since Bob took over by $0.50 to $1.50/6 pack and the keg prices have all gone up. The inside still looks dirty and disorganized.

Finally, the Cheers like atmosphere and incredible beer knowledge that Mar and Stephen brought to the place IS GONE.

This place is good if you need a quick place to stop in but Plano has plenty other solid selections,

A- small and dingy little place, but I don't care what it looks like as long as there is good beer

Q- There were several good beers, but not any overwhelming offerings

S- They just kind of stood behind the counter

S- Above average, but not as good as I had heard. Lots of Belgians

V- Seemed pretty in line with other nearby stores in the Plano area

Overall- Stop by if you are close, but nothing to go out of your way for

Visited a couple weeks back. As with other reviewers I was quick to note the run-down look. Parking can be somewhat of a challenge as well.

I found the selection to be about average, and a little below what I can get up the street. As with almost any other store around town, there were a few beers that nobody else had, and a few that they didn't appear to carry. They seemed to have most of the big names....but not a tremendous selection of the small and obscure domestic craft offerings.

What was odd to me was that they seemed to have a better selection of singles than six packs. There were numerous beers they had one or two of, but no six packs.

Service was to the point, but not overly friendly. Prices seem to be in line with other stores.

Overall, worth a look but not a place I would go out of my way to visit. Better choices north a few streets.
