I got to have this on tap friday at the taproom by springhouse. It appears black in color with a rich mocha head that fades leaving a full wall lace.
The aroma is super strong with coffee and a faint roastiness of grain to accompany it. Easily the most coffee-forward of not only the bloodlust varietals but possibly anything springhouse has done aside from Planet Bean.
The taste is roasty and rich with a roastiness that I cant really define as being from the base beer roastiness or the coffee addition. It is quite bitter and earthen with a veggy thing going on in the aftertaste that I dont really dig.
This is medium to light bodied like most springhouse dark beers are. Overall it was worth a try but I doubt id order it again.

Coffee in the nose and flavor is prominent without being overpowering. Some chocolate flavors in the background and a bit of alcoholic heat. Another great coffee stout from Spring House.
