Sampled a cellar temp bottle poured into a snifter. Purchased the beer on a recent trip to PA.
The beer pours a deep dark chocolate hue with brown frothy head of 2-3 cm foaming up. The head is tightly packed and fades to an edge layer with 1 large wispy island in the center of the beer.
Aroma is dry cocoa and dark chocolate, with a little sweet malt mixed in and with dry roasted peanut notes in the background. Not so much peanut butter as the whole nut.
The first sip reveals a fairly thick body with soft rolling carbonation. Texture is silky smooth and the beer drinks very easy.
Flavor is roasted malt and chocolate bar with hints of brown sugar and a little peanut butter. Generally a malt forward beer with a little roasted dryness on the finish. I dont get any booze or hops in the drinking.
An interesting beer and the peanut butter isnt as strong as I feared upon buying the bottle. The nose is pleasant and nutty aromas are nice. Not too much on the flavor and an enjoyable beer overall.

Had on tap at Paradise by the Slice. Thanks to Shane for this one!
A: Big Gruesome is deep black with a small tan color head, decent retention leaving a small cap on top. Thin lacing forms on the sides.
S: Just like Reese's Pieces, some peanut butter and chocolate, a bit of cream and sweetness. Very nice, just like candy.
T: More peanut butter and chocolate on the flavor profile. Not as specific as the aroma where it instantly reminded me of Reese's. Mostly milk chocolate, a little but of cream, and a faint roastiness.
M: Medium bodied, maybe a touch thin. Very smooth and creamy.
O: Very happy to have finally tried this beer. Definitely a sweet beer, and a treat. not something I would drink all the time, but would be happy to have it again. Perfect dessert beer.

I poured this from a bomber into a Dogfish Head Signature glass.
A: The beer pours an oily black with a nice, one inch tan head. It's a pretty stout for sure.
S: Definitely big notes of peanut butter in the nose. Not so much chocolate, but hey.
T: Big notes of peanut butter with a solid backbone on this brew. I get some chocolate, but peanut definitely dominates this beer. This beer finishes relatively dry.
M: The mouthfeel is pretty smooth as a stout like this should be. Dig it.
O: Overall, I like this beer a good bit. This is definitely comparable to Sweet Baby Jesus and is very tasty. Cheers!
