Notes/Commercial Description:
Lil' G is not intimidated by his larger counter-part, Big Gruesome. An extremely rich and complex beer, the addition of raspberries during the fermentation process results in an reddish opaque color with nice chocolate notes. Like the Big G, rich peanut butter is introduced throughout the entire brewing process to make this stout even more Gruesome.

Good viscous pour, with a deep deep brown coloring and a light and fleeting head.

The nose is light and tempered but it's got a peanut butter and Reese's peanut butter cup aroma.

The flavor is peanut butter, a quick flash of sweet grape jelly, than a chocolatey malt. It finishes with a raw peanut flavor.

The feel is light and kind of thin especially with how thick it poured.

This is a nice treat, a relatively simple approach and a worthy try.

A-dark brown color with a decent tan head and some lacing

S-dark malt, chocolate, peanut butter, hint of sweetness and fruit

T-dark roasted malt, chocolate, peanut butter, berries, hint of coffee

F-medium body with moderate carbonation, smooth and creamy

O-well done, difficult to pull this off, but I applaud this effort and look forward to enjoying it again

A - very dark brown with about an inch of khaki head. Pretty good retention leaves a bunch of lacing and thin layer of tan on top of the brew until the glass is empty.

S - The smell is fantastic!! Roasted nuts and peanut butter with some cream-like sweetness in there.

T - Up front, the taste matches the smell almost identically. Bready, roasty, nutty. About mid-sip a fruity tartness comes through, almost like cran-grape juice. The two flavors don't combine flawlessly, but the effort is there, and it is quite apparent what the brewers were going for.

M - Medium body and carbonation, and leaves behind a slight dryness.

O - I bought this one on a whim out of curiosity, knowing it could have been surprisingly good or a terrible attempt at recreating a sandwich in the form of a beer. Overall, I probably won't buy it again, but I'm glad I tried it. Definitely an interesting one, combining roasty and tart, but I believe they pulled it off fairly well.
