on tap into pint glass at brewpub.

dark reddish-amber with thick off white head.

BAM. a ton of fresh hops bombard the nose. the recipe lists amarillo, columbus, cascade and centennial all locally growm in the brewers garden. hop bitterness stands out at first but aftet a few sips your pallett is fried and it goes down super easy.

A:: A hazy deep golden, a little lighter appearing towards the bottom. Not much ead on mine (a full fill) but another member in my party also had one, and his is about a finger high, nice and sticky.

S: Full, leafy hops. Almost a touch of saltiness, and a kinda unusual aroma of fruit - soft, but fresh apple.

T: A nice bittering of cascades. That bitter leafiness and a bit of n evergreen resin (no specific evergreen... more piney than spruce, though)..

M + D: Mediocre carbonation, a medium botdy. Nothing too extraordinary in feel, but a nice smelling and tasty brew. Well done, nice and full hops, and something I'll happily go for again.

Served On-Tap at South Street Brewery in C-ville.

A - A brownish dull amber colored beer is placed before me. It sports a 2 finger dirty wheat colored head. looks great.

S - smells of Hops, dead grass, tobacco, cigars, fruit and floral notes.

T&M - Hops are predominant, but subduded by the malt backbone. it's a well rounded beer leaning slightly to the hop side of things. Tastes are of fruity/floral flavors. tobacco leaves are in there. some malty sweetness is present once oyu get use to the hops. Motufeel is moderate with a decent amount of carbonation. not too much, not too little.

D - this is a very drinkable hop featuring beer. It's farily well rounded. i had two. i'd have it again. good job for a micro brewpub!

Served on-tap at South Street Brewery (Charlottesville, VA).

A: Pretty standard amber-orange with sticky, rocky 1-finger off-white head with good retention and lacing.

S: Fresh hops aromas of citrus, pine, and leaf with a solid pale malt sweetness with no graininess

T: A very good flavor profile with plenty of citrus and evergreen hops notes but it does not lose its earthier side. The malting is one of the best jobs of any South Street brew -- a very clean pale and light caramel malt sweet fruitness works very well with the hopbill.

M: Good not great with medium-body and carbonation that still coats pretty well. Aftertaste is strongly citrus hoppy.

D: One of South Street's best brews -- the freshness and malting moves this one near the top of my list of SOuth Street beer. Very good and recommended.

On tap at South Street Brewery, Charlottesville, VA. Brewed with Columbus, Ahtanum, and Amarillo to "celebrate the annual hop harvest." 5.9% abv, 60 IBUs.

Appearance: A hazy reddish amber bodied beer with slow, rolling carbonation. A creamy, even white head recedes slowly, leaving sticky, milky white lacing in sheets and streaks.

Aroma: Faint citrus and leafy tobacco notes. There's also a pale sweetness, but not much else. Mild.

Taste: Big floral bitterness, some light zesty citrus, plenty of leafy notes, and a lot of dry, roasted, and bready malt qualities. A nice herbal earthy hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Relatively thin and medium-bodied. Medium sized bubbles. Even. Nothing spectacular, but solid.

Drinkability: Great in the abv department - nothing that's gonna knock you over here. That being said, a pretty standard "hop" harvest pale ale, though good for an independent brewpub like South Street. Get it if you see it.
