Notes:
An unusual WFM location w/ beers on tap and the only grocery store in the country with the status of "Off Centered Place" by Dogfish Head Brewing; they have anything available from them at any given time as well as a tap dedicated to Dogfish Head limited release and/or seasonal beers.

If you can't spend over 3-4 hours in this place, have 2-3 drinks, 2 meals and meet new people, you're doing it wrong.

When of the best places in the EV to grab a beer, a high quality (over-priced, yes) meal and shop for dinner without having to run around town to get it all done. I can always count on never having to deal with the Bullsh*t that is some bar with drunkards making too much noise and being packed in too tight.

Stop in and enjoy a few hours here.

Great selection as well as a pretty solid tap list for the most part. Able to get some pretty rare releases that others can't. Just have to know when they come out as there are many folks that have also figured this out as well. Ask the people working behind the bar if they have something you are looking for as most rare things will never touch the floor for sale.

Stopped in here earlier today on my trip south. Took a minute to find the beer area but once I did it really was pretty impressive. Huge long cooler holds most of the six packs and singles, with the rest scattered around the area. Directly across from the cooler is the tap area with lost of seats and all of the beers on a large chalk board. Atmosphere was good for what it is, a few people milling around looking at beers. Quality was pretty solid. Lots of different beers from all over the country, multiple styles and they even sold some glasses I had never seen before. Service was pretty good. I was left alone to brows the beer area but once I went over to the wine / bar area I was asked if I needed any help, I didn't tho. Selection was easily the best part. They have a TON of beer in that place. Lots of locals, nationals and internationals. I was able to pick up some Crooked Stave and even a mead I was on the lookout for. I didn't try any of the food this time but it all looked great. Prices were solid across the board, only a handful of bottles I felt were a little high. Overall one of the best grocery store bottle shops I have ever encountered. I may return when we roll through town again in a few weeks.

Really hard to review this place. Incredible selection and nice beer selection on tap however it is impossible to get over the fact that you are drinking in a really high lit and bright grocery store. The food at the deli counters is good but overpriced. Really think they need to develop a bar menu and with all the cheeses available in the store how hard would it be to develop a cheese platter. The current bar manager, James is friendly and pretty knowledgeable, the rest of the staff no better or worse than any other place. It is really small so service is never an issue. The other thing I don't like is it isn't open regular bar type hours but grocery store hours.

I have been going to Whole Foods Chandler to get alot of my beer for some time now. When i first heard of this place i had to check it out. Right when you hit the beer aisle you are in wow. There has to be over 1000 different kind of beers on the wall. After seeing this you walk over to the watering hole and find 31 CRAFT beers on tap! At first the drafts were a bit high priced but now the prices are pretty good. All the beers are just 4 dollars on Sat through the summer from 4pm to close and i hope they keep that special after the summer is over! You can walk around the store and there are various places to eat and all of them are pretty good. All in all it's one of my go to spots!

Included this WFM location while roadtripping down there after being privy to their beer selection and 29 on tap. Coming from Utah, it was an unbelievable thing, so had to check it out. They had beers from Gulden Draak to Dogfish Head 90 Min IPA on tap and that was pretty much enough to make me happy while we shopped the large beer wall.

Service was great. Being a girl, I feel like some guys tend to push us away but they were friendly and knowledgeable. Always helps to have a staff of guys who are passionate about craft beer. Will be visiting again.

Peace & tranquility! What a nice, relaxed place for a pint without obnoxious sports fans or deafening music! Almost 30 taps of amazing craft beers are offered here, and you can enjoy them with many food choices during the day and early evening inside the food court area. It's also a plus that there's such a huge selection of bottles to go, and virtually all of it is refrigerated.

Staff is always polite and have been knowledgeable on my visits. I appreciated the checkups at my table and casual chat about California IPA's. It's a real treat to have servers who are also enthusiasts about craft beer.

Food prices are high, given that it is Whole Foods, and you can expect an extra buck or so for a pint than what you might find elsewhere. Parking is great, and the other patrons are usually rather mellow too. Love this place!

Stopped here for Kegs and Eggs sunday morning after the Arizona stong beer festival. I have been to both Whole foods in Ann Arbor but they are not this cool. 28 taps with various good craft beer is nice. What is even better is you can buy any beers they have for sale and drink them there. You can carry around a glass of Abyss while you are shopping for groceries. How great is that! The staff was very knowledgable about beer and seemed to have a passion for it as well. They have a very good selection of beer from around the globe.

If you've never been into a whole foods before, or seen the types of people and products they have there, you'd never believe they carried such a huge selection of craft brew at this store.

Wandering through the store you encounter various organic and environmentally friendly products and people. Crazy smells fill the store, they literally have tons of mini-restaurants in the store that sell you hot food to eat there.

There's a bar not too far from the beer area, with many releases rotating on tap. They have Abyss on tap at the time of this review. There may be 10 hybrids in their parking lot and 4 vegans working shifts at any given moment in that store, but they have Abyss on tap!

The bar doesn't always have somebody attending it, so it may take a while if there is something you want to get.

Also the prices here make it slightly less desirable for certain products.

Their beer selection is pretty good and they are known to get a lot of special releases. They are a bit pricier than most, however I appreciate the fact that basically their entire selection is kept in a cooler. I have gotten a few beers that were past their drink-by-date, and they tasted like it. However, that is more my fault as I should check dates before I buy.

They have a bar with 29 brews on tap, most of which are decent, a few of which are impressive.

They had Chimay cheese, but it was clearly not stored correctly at some point in its journey and was just nasty. I have been to Chimay and had their cheese within minutes where it is made; it was not supposed to taste like that.

Their food is great, you almost cannot go wrong. However they are pricey. They have a great selection of organic fruit and veg, however if you are looking for high quality cheeses or foods, AJ's Fine Foods is your best bet.

I have family in Chandler. For years I drove all over the Phoenix area for decent beer places. Whole Foods is now my priority destination.

Their selection is HUGE. Cantillon, Bells, Great Divide, Bruery, locals... so on.

The little bar is great. Quiet, with an unobtrusive TV (for sports). Always something worth trying. Usually 2 or 3 locals, a note worthy DFH, Bruery and random other beers. The bar serves wine for non-beer nerds.

Self serve food stations make it an awesome session destination. Getting tanked in a grocery store is not as sad as it sounds... ok, it's kind of sad.

Update: They've expanded their taps to over 30. James - the head beer man - is awesome. On a Friday night or Saturday the place can be a zoo.

This has become my favorite place to get beer. They have a great selection, not tons of beer, but the beer they do have, is awesome. And they are always rotating thier selection.
Mikal (sp?) the beer buyer and
ead beer guy" there is great. Always VERY helpful, passionate and informative. In fact, my wife went there looking for beer for me for my birthday, and she spent a good 20 or 30 minutes going over beer with her, making recomendations etc. I must say, what she got was awesome.
Well worth the trip. Not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. Some beer does tend to be slightly higher then you would find at the grochery store, but they have a lot more you wouldn't be able to find at all.
