Milo's is a fairly new dive on Division street, east of Caves Lounge. The interior is your typical smoke haven but decked out industrial contemporary. Lots of steel, metal and concrete, but looks pretty cheap. The draw is obviously to college kids, and you'll find lots of them here. Of the two times I've been out there after hours it inches on a meat market for the youngsters. The earlier hours and Sunday's seem a bit more mellow and laid back. They have a projector for sports and video games (360 I think) tournaments, and karaoke on Sunday Nights.

The brews are surprisingly decent, with the main focus being on the bottle selection. The draughts tend to be more BMC college choices, with a few crafts thrown in for GOOD balance. The bottles are heavy with craft and Belgians. They have 2-3 Flying Dogs, SN's, Rahr, and I think some St Arnold's. The manager I talked too seemed genuinely interested in bringing a more diverse [beer] variety into the place and took down some of my suggestions. Maybe more interest would clear the BL' from the fridge and bring something worthy in. :)

Parking is super tight and very odd. The bulk being down a tiny alley into what looks like an old car dealership lot. I don't remember what used to be (in the lot) before Milo's, but doesn't really matter. I think the place is a nice hop and skip away from a night at Caves when you want a different vibe and atmosphere, which you'll usually get.

The pros: I dont know...comfy seating? Drink prices were not absurdly high.

The cons: No parking! You can fit just around 6 vehicles in the lot.
The room (I say room because thats pretty much the size of the whole bar) was hotter than hell unless youre standing directly by one of the a/c vents.

Another thing: If you need to go outside to answer a phone call the owner WILL follow you outside. Not sure why, just to watch I guess? You would figure he has got better things to do like sayyyy I dont know, run his shitty bar? After that I went to my car to grab a handful of quarters, when I came back in I was told that I am not allowed to go outside...excuse me? Im sorry, I was retrieving quarters to spend on YOUR shitty ass kiddy pool tables. Do we have a problem?

Bottom line, its not a great place at all and the people that run it have no customer skills. And I refuse to go to a place that tells me I cant go outside to my OWN car to get quarters for YOUR piece of shit machines....I mean come on, Im trying to give you my money and you dont want it? Assbackwards people run that bar and until that changes they get no money from me.

Caves is right across the street, they are MUCH BETTER...in EVERY WAY. Except suckiness.
