Hand bottle from a leaky growler courtesy of the awesome Steasy66. Cheers, bruh!

Appearance. Pours a murky, rusty red-amber. Topped with an absolutely massive, billowy khaki head that takes a good while to settle.

Smell. Dark juicy cherry, faint bit of dusty yeast reminiscent of NG. Cherries smell pretty real and ripe.

Taste. Very intense cherry juice, and a ton of it. Juicy and sour, just the right amount of sweetness that the fruit would have. There's a hint of cinnamon and almond, but this one is all about the cherry. No booze detected, dangerous.

Mouthfeel. Medium body, strong carbonation.

Overall. Wow, stellar fruit beer. Always seems weird to call some north american cherry beer a kriek, but when it's this tasty who the fuck cares! Killin' it, Ryan.

A-light to medium red color with a smallish off-white head and little lacing

S-light grain, light brown sugar, huge cherry nose with no significant tartness

T-big cherry flavor with mostly sweet and hint of sour cherry flavor, light grain and brown sugar in the background, like a fresh homemade cherry pie

F-medium body with light to moderate, carbonation, smooth

O-interesting beer, great cherry flavor, they call this a wild ale, but fruit beer seems to fit this better

A - Not much more than a fingers worth of late to develop light khaki colored froth head... Minimal retention as this one quickly fades away leaving a lopsided splotchy veil lace and an ultra thin collar... The color is a mix of ruby red and medium brown... Mostly still with just a stray carbonation bubble rising randomly on occasion... A wee bit of lacing clings to the glass...

S - Bright vibrant bing cherries... A whiff of vanilla nicely accents the cherries... There is a bit of brown sugar as well... This all sits atop a surprisingly thick malt base comprised of biscuit and pie crust... Very nice...

T - Sweet cherries and vanilla... Vanilla and sweet cherries... A hint of brown sugar... The pie crust and biscuit are present as well... The cherriness continues to intensify on the finish at which time there is a very light tart and salty presence that emerges as well... Excellent depth and complexity...

M - Medium bodied... Light yet robust... Limited carbonation... A bit sticky... Smooth... A wee bit chewy...

D - Insanely quaffable... An outstanding dessert beer with several port like qualities... This growler will disappear with ease... It's amazing to consider that a tiny little brew pub in central PA turns out such outstanding Belgian fruit beers... Outstanding and highly recommended... Much more than the sum of its outstanding parts...
