This place has a great atmosphere: small, loaded with personality, and more taps than you'd expect for the size. It was tucked away on the main street of a small town (or at least on the small town side of the road it's on on the other side of a bridge). The staff was very nice, if maybe slightly inattentive (SLIGHTLY). I only tried the IPA, which was good enough that I felt that buying a growler was necessary.

Overall, this place is certainly worth a visit.

Went here on Mother's Day 2014. Atmosphere is sort of clubby, in the basement of a former PA Governor's residence. They had 10 beers on tap plus a cider Otto's in State College. Tried everything they had and found the Kriek (easily a five starrer), Cream Ale and Organic Pilsener to be the tops. They'll fill anyone's growler but no bottles (thought I'd seen one somewhere). Food is mainly sandwiches with a rotating entree (good, non-seafood Jambalaya). Definitely worth a detour if you're headed to mid-PA.

Love this place, great atmosphere of local and college guests. Food items are unique and carry a local flair. Beer selection is great with several items rotating through their menu. Gets very crowded most any day or time of year. Nice outdoor seating. They'll fill growlers.

The interior of this pub (downstairs in the basement on the backside of the building is small, intimate, and dimly lit but there is a small dining room area and some outdoor seating. The crowd is friendly though a little eclectic like the decor/furniture.

The beers were well poured but in my opinion, I think the lines were not the cleanest and could use with being cleaned a little more frequently. The beers had decent heads, were served at a proper temperature, and used proper glassware including snifters for stouts/casks.

The selection was fairly average here - there were about 7 beers available (looked like they had crossed out about 5 other beers from the menu because they were out). Not a lot of different styles represented and not a lot of summery styles.

The food was pretty good - I personally just had some of the beer pretzels but the other person in my party had the curried chicken salad which was very good.

I thought the prices were pretty reasonable but as I stopped while passing through, I cannot comment on how it compares to other places in the area.

Unfortunately, I live 100+ miles from this wonderful establishment. If I lived in Selinsgrove, I would be a very happy regular. As it stands, I'm a frustrated fan. The people who work there are friendly and knowledgable. The crowd is affable and you will always find a good conversation. The menu is relatively small, but what they do is done well. The basement atmosphere is perfect, if a bit too small. It's worth booking a room at a nearby hotel so that you can enjoy a long day in this great place and quaint town.
