This has been my go to place for craft beer for sometime now. The selection is very good, although it can get a bit stagnant at times. The owners Mark and Randy are very helpful and knowledgeable, even if they are more wine guys than beer guys. They always have many local breweries on hand such as Cisco, Mayflower, Offshore, Wachusett, and even Opa Opa from time to time. They have also begun to carry a small selection of meads.
They don't often have new limited releases or obscure stuff but if you can't find it on the shelves, they will be happy to order it as long as their distributor carries it. When I want beer, this is my first stop.

I've been to this store in Plymouth a bunch of times and each time I've been impressed. I usually went when I wanted to pick up beer to bring to a party or get together and I always found what I was looking for. I put a reasonable rating for price because I don't think the prices quite go into the next higher category, but i would say the beers are a bit pricier than the average store-well worth it though considering the good selection Village Vineyards has to offer. The staff at village Vineyards are extremely helpful. They sell a copious quantity of single bottles of good craft beer. If you're in the Plymouth area, I recommend checking out Village Vineyards.

Stopped at Village Vineyards today on the way to the Cape. A nice spot.
The staff was very friendly and as helpful as could be. Truth be told, I got the sense they didn't know as much about beer as some of the stores I frequent. I mean no disrespect as they were wonderful, but in speaking to the gentlemen, they didn't quite have the depth of knowledge that I would expect. This may be more that I am spoiled with my favorite two stores in the Boston area.
Anyway, the selection was nice, and if you are on the south shore, it seems to be the place to stop. They have a single section that should be shopped. They had some 2007 North Coast Old Stock there at a fine price. Some gems in the bin.
Nice selection of Belgians and all the standards Northeast craft beers.
Bottom line, if you live in this area it's a really nice store. I'll stop when I head to the Cape. That's a good thing.
Just tough for them to compete in my head with the likes of the stores I frequent in Boston.

If you are from the plymouth area and love micro brews or belgians then this is the place for you. I have lived in Plymouth all of my life and this is the best craft beer store ( as well as wine) that has ever stepped foot in Plymouth. There belgian selection is outstanding from (goudan caralous, st. bernardus, choufee, gulden draak, piraat, and many more)to their micros such as ( avery, stone , lost abbey , founders, etc.) they have a full 10 door cooler plus a walk in dedicated to beer. They also carry domestics like bud, coors and miller for the not so daring. A must if you live in a 40 mile radius. It is much easier than going to boston/ no traffic .

Village Vineyards is one of the best places to buy beer in Southeastern Massachusetts. While a bit pricey, their selection of domestic microbrews is amazing. They have plenty of Stone, Avery, and harder to get beers like Tommyknocker. Both owners are knowledgeable beer guys and will talk up a storm. They also change up their selection. They recently added an ever expanding singles section. Frequent tastings and a diverse wine portfolio are a plus. While there stop at Mayflower brewing down the block.

A customer since DAY ONE... This is the best store for the craft beer enthusiast in the area. I have been to others but need to travel too far to get to them. This store operated by 3 well versed wine/beer coinsures. The store is stocked with top quality wines and hard liquor. The back wall of the store is coolers FULL of craft beer. There is only a single door cooler with the standard Bud/Miller. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile for its customers. They have weekly tastings (beer and wine including a wine tasting machine with 10-15 bottles to taste at all times) They did not hesitate when I requested a bottle of Utopias and had it for me in 5 days!! I exclusively visit this store and can say I would never venture far!! A SOLID RECOMMENDATION FOR ALL... located next to Wal-Mart at Colony Place in Plymouth MA...

This is easily the best place to pick up some good beer in Plymouth. They carry almost exclusively high quality brews with only one cooler for BMC-type beers. On top of having great quality and selection, service is fantastic as well. The store is run exclusively by 3 people, so they care about what they do and they know what they're talking about. Also, they recently expanded their beer section by adding a walk-in cooler, which they've used to carry more cases and bombers. If you are in the area and looking for some great beer this should be your first stop.

I am from Plymouth, and if given the choice I would go to this store all the time. They have an incredible amount of variety for a fan of craft breweries. While they are primarily a wine place, they also offer fine cigars, hard liquor, and a tremedous amount of different and local craft breweries. They are friendly and seem to be indebted to the community and local breweries.
Lastly, the store is gorgeous. When I walk into this place, I feel classy. They even said to me once "we are not a packi." and they mean it. They strive hard to set themselves apart from the local package stores. They often have tastings, paired with food. They fought hard to get a liquor license in this town and they seem passionate about their store.
The only downside is that I check the dates on my beer (i.e. Dogfish head) and theirs seem way out of date most of the time.

I visited this place last Sunday and arrived to a tasting of Dogfish Head 120 minute and Duchesse de Bourgogne. The service was great and the selection was exceptional for the South Shore. Everything is in coolers. The owners have obviously put some time into the beer selection and not just the wine. Check the list for a taste of what they stock. It's well worth the trip over the bridge if you're on the Cape or even in the area. Also, it's very close to the Mayflower Brewing Company so if you time it right you can hit them both.
