I visited this place with my family after eating breakfast with grandparents on Mother's Day, did not buy any beer because it was so expensive and I could get six packs for a little more than one twelve ounce bottle, they had a couple different Warsteiners including the Dunkel, Kostritzer, Bitburger, Hofbrau, Spaten, Ayinger, some dark wheat beer, and a few other easy to find Germans that I cannot remember at this moment, there was fourteen different bottles available, bought a pretzel for two dollars that was really good but that would be the only reason why I ever went back to this place, place was clean inside, located in a cool little strip mall, nice to have in such a deserted town, service was pretty bad and they only had two people working registers when the place was rather busy, lady that helped me was not very pleasant either, supposedly their beer prices went up a dollar recently, all 12 ounce bottles are now $3.50 to go, which is a joke for their selection in my opinion, do not make a special visit here but if you live in town or are visiting and are bored, then it might be worth checking out, not the finest beer establishment I have been to by any means

Kohnen's Bakery is located in a small strip mall just outside of downtown Tehachapi on Rte 58. There is street parking in front and a lot to the side. They share a space with a gift shop next door.
This place specializes in German baked goods but they have a small and exclusively German beer selection as well. The beers are located in a shelf on the left side of the shop.
They carry about 8 different varieties ranging from Ayinger, Hofbräu, Spaten, Warsteiner & Köstritzer to a few others. The bottles are available to go or to drink there. They also sell a couple different 5L mini kegs. Some glassware and steins are available as well.
Service here is good. While the focus is on food, the staff is happy to help out with beer questions. Kohnen's does an Oktoberfest annually too.
The bakery here is phenomenal. Outside of muffins, cookies and the like they also serve sandwiches that are excellent.
Overall this small shop is definitely worth visiting when visiting or passing by Tehachapi.
