New branch of the small family owned Smokin' Jack's BBQ joints. This one is on the main drag and took over the old Tony Roma's location near the big movie theater.

After several months in operations as the restaurant, management has added a large kegerator system and a surprising array of beer taps. Included on the list are choices such as Green Flash's West Coast IPA, Mardesous 8, Craftsman Hefe and Holiday Ales, etc. A few taps are devoted to Miller Lite, PU, Sam Adams, etc. Bottle collection is very short, ~5 bottles but does include Suffolk Organic.

Food is passable chow. The BBQ is good, not great, but the sauce is excellent.

The wait staff here has been incredible, but the few times I've been in business has been slow.

Overall a pleasant beery surprise for anyone in the "downtown" Burbank area. If you're tired of Gordon Biersch and BJ's, you should definitely swing by Smokin' Jacks.

They have a new happy hour, everyday 11am-7pm $3 pints at the bar. They have a good selection, but last time I was there they were out of many. They have food specials at the bar for 5 bucks, don't pay more for food because it's not worth it. I'm kinda a BBQ geek too so I wasn't that impressed. The bartender who works during the happy hour knew his stuff. If you drink to much you can always walk across the street and see a movie until you sober up. Good place to start out a night. The bottle selection was weak, they only had 3 kinds when I was there.
