Dry cocoa hoppy Irish Dry / Porter / Double Stout hybrid.
A: Deep and very hazy chestnut brown with a fleeting one finger tan head.
S: Very dry. This nose is all about fresh cocoa powder and zesty earthy hops. Just a bit of sweet Irish cream lurks underneath. A pretty Porter-ish nose, and quite inviting.
T: Still quite dry., and very similar to the nose. Big semisweet cocoa and zesty, earthy hops, sweet cream underneath, and obvious alcohol. Finish is quite dry and bitter, on dusty hops. A bit of metal hurts the score slightly.
M: On the thin side, slightly chalky, but still pleasant. High carbonation.
O: Enjoyable. Would be great with barbecue.
