Grisette was a style of beer developed in the 1800s in the Hainaut provence of southern Belgium to slake the thrists of coal and stone miners.

Cloudy golden pour with a minimal white head. Really nice sour smell with just a bit of yeast and clove. Taste is really nice with lots of yeast and spicy upfront. There’s also a good mildly tart lemon presence that lingers through from start to finish. Finish with a slightly tart citrus flavor.

Poured from 12 oz. can into a Spiegelau tulip. Light gold in color with a two finger head that leaves quickly. Particles in suspension.
Smells of bread yeast with clove, some slight banana and pepper spices.
Taste follows nose. Love the pepper and banana. Banana not overpowering.
Feel is just right for me. Fair carbonation with a crispness that cleans the palate. None too heavy either.
Overall I really love this beer. Very drinkable and crushable with 5.5 abv. Recommend and will buy again. Great beer!

Banana, Clove, Rind, Dry
A Grisette is an old Saison-like style from French speaking Wallonia region of Belgium. Like a Saison, it’s unfiltered and pour on the cloudy golden side with thin white lace. The aroma is more akin to a German Hefeweizen with a distinct yeasty aromas of banana and clove. Creamy, smooth, more banana and clove, citrus rind bitterness, some grassiness, touch of saltiness, and rose water. Yeasty, earthy, herbal, and dry finish. Delicious.

12 oz. can poured into tulip
L: clear gold, minimal head of white foam, 1/2-inch tall, only a few bubbles rising in column; no sticking but a little bit of lacing
S: lots of spice and banana ... cloves, all-spice ... very sweet and the spice notes overpower all else
T: follows the nose (banana, spice) with a little grain added ... the grain flavor (rice) shows up on the finish; can't taste alcohol, but the lighter ABV (5.25% on website) still packs a punch -- I can feel a bit of warmth; slight tartness, but the banana flavor has too much sweetness to allow for any major lemon/citrus tart presence
F: perfect ... light and crisp, very drinkable
O: very easy-drinking saison with enough spice to taste a lot like a witbier;
