a cloudy amber with a heavy layer of sediment that just seems to be hanging out on top of my glass. 2 fingers of detergent-like head causing some serious lacing. smells of malt, lager yeast.. basically this smells like yeungling... exactly like it. i have honestly never pinpointed anything down this exact. the taste is a bit funky.. almost like i hard boiled an egg and tried to drink it or someone tried to fart in my mouth. taste 2 is a bit of the same.. a subtle bitterness and a sour-ish malt profile but not sour enough to be a sour ale. just weird tasting. not really enjoying this. medium body but refreshing. moderate carbonation.

2.75 seems high for an overall. it tastes like the shit beer we drink here in nj.. you know, when we're 16. i'm a grown ass alcoholic now! c'mon! no really though, this is pretty awful... tastes pretty much like a "ok that's the best they had on tap at the dive, but i'd still rather drink rolling rocks in bottles"

Poured from a 12oz can into a tulip

A: Pours a amber orangish color with a 2finger white head. Minimal lacing and retention.

S: Bready, dark fruits, some alcohol and maybe some malt sweetness.

T: Close to the nose. Bready, dark fruits but takes a twist towards the end. You are hit with some malt sweetness that changes it. Fairly dry.

M: Medium body and carbonation.

O: Overall not a bad beer. Reminds me of a Belgian style strong/quad but much lighter. Easy drinking. Interesting take on the season, i'd give it a try if you enjoy the style.

12oz can poured into a pint glass
A: Hazy copper color with a generous 1.5 finger head
S: Lots of roasted malt, lots of sweetness and a hint of florals. I agree with NoLeafClover that it's very reminiscent of Belgian-styled aromas.
T: Quite malty, sweetness from both fruit & caramel. Not a ton of complexity.
M: Medium-bodied, light carbonation but a thin/short finish.
O: I think a little more hops could have brought a lot more to this. It goes down easy, but I would have enjoyed more complexity.

Appearance: Pours in a hazy amber with a tint of ruby

Aroma: Grainy, sweet malt, little to no hop aroma

Mouthfeel: Full, thick mouth feel with lingering sweetness

Taste: flavors like caramel and toffee, slight hops but the type are undeterminable

I didn't really get those farmhouse flavors I would expect from this style. This beer is just a bit under attenuated for my palette. I enjoyed this beer and would drink it again. I think it is great that breweries make the effort to brew beers like this. Maltier beers tend not to fly off the shelf like the "latest IPA."
