500ml bottle. Nonic glass. Enjoyed on apr´13. Golden color, chill haze appearance. Lasting & close crown, white in color. Intense banana & clove, hints of bread both in flavors & aromas. Floral touch to the nose as well. Creamy at first sip shows toasted bread notes & involving bitterness. Medium body. Moderate to high carbonation. Oily & dense texture. Fruity & herbal flavors in the middle rounded by spicy touch. Slight citric astringency lingers into a creamy, long & bitter finish. Flavorful & refreshing. Worth to try !!!

I had this Weizen both on tap and from the bottle. Both seem consistent. It actually appears more of a wit beer than a Hefeweizen, believe it or not. The body of the brew is the whitish orange and gold color that is common with a wit beer. The head presentation is a bit more consistent with a hefe though. Mounds of it are present, and it sticks around for a good amount of time.
The aroma characteristics I detect are of clove/banana, with a hint of candied sugar. Dare I say like a sugary wit again?
The taste is quite consistent with typical hefe. Banana and bubblegum. There's no deviation here.
This brew is loaded with carbonation and gives this brew a bite. Very thirst quenching and on par with the style.
This weizen is very well balanced and is worth a try. I found this to be much better out of the bottle than on tap.

This wasn't in the same class as the helles, I'm afraid. The pour was a cloudy chamomile tea color. The aroma was reminiscent of banana and cloves. Taste was more malty and also a bit tart. I was actually reminded of a gose with this one, minus the salt of course. Over-all, not anything to get excited about, although I would like to try the version from the bottle. Had at Redbones. pat.
