I can't remember which terminal this one was in, I didn't even realize there were 2 spots until I started to write this review!

This particular tap-house was crammed full of people, but we were able to get a small two-top table during the lunch rush. Loud R&B music and the chatter of patrons thundered through the small space. The food options were limited to a small selection of salads, chicken wings, burgers and sandwiches--pretty standard pub fare. We ordered beers, and IPA for me and a Georgia Brown Ale for Sj, but it took nearly 20 minutes to get them. I was starting to feel glad we had a long lay-over as this wasn't looking good for actually getting food. The IPA was fair, but to me seemed more like a pale ale, lacking the strong hop aroma and flavor I expect from the style. When we ordered food our server seemed like he was having a hard time remembering what we wanted (boneless wings for me and a quesadilla for Sj) despite a distinct lack of complexity to our order. A few minutes later he returned to clarify Sj's order again. Twenty minutes later our food arrived: room temperature wings for me and a chicken salad for my wife. Yup, despite re-checking with us our order was still fouled (fowled?) up! A while later the quesadilla arrived and we were able to eat. The silver lining to the extreme time-lag was that I did get to try a pint of the Festive Ale, a pleasantly spiced holiday ale. When our bill came to us it was done incorrectly (chicken salad's revenge!) Do I expect an amazing dining experience in an airport? Not really, but there is an understanding that airport restaurants should be used to moving people through quickly and problem free.

Reviewing the location in Terminal A. I had some food and beers while waiting for a flight.

As with any Airport place, they jam in as many tables and chairs as possible into a tiny area. I sat at the bar so I could watch football on the two TV's above the bar.

They had the LowRyder, Motor Boat, 420, IPA, Blue, and Brown on tap, plus for whatever reason Yuengling and Bud Light. Not great, but as good as you can expect in an Airport. Beers were $6.5 which again is steep, but goes with the territory.

The food was limited menu pub grub, I had a quesadilla and boneless wings. Served their purpose. The Bartender was friendly and giving people samples if they asked about a beer.

Reviewing just for the beer, as I did not try the food. I had just gotten off a 10 hour flight and had about an hour before my connection. Airports are often beer wastelands with nothing good available, but I had heard about a Sweetwater Draft House at ATL and went looking. Luckily there was one in Concourse B not far from my gate. Score! I've had Sweetwater Beer before as they distribute to Florida where I'm from but was able to try the Sweet Georgia Brown Ale that you can't get in FL. Also saw they had the usuals: IPA (which is fantastic, btw), 420 Pale Ale, Blue (the wife likes this one) and a summer seasonal called Road Trip. Service at the bar was excellent and a beer ran about $6.50 which is not bad for a craft beer at the airport. I will seek out Sweetwater Draft House on any future trips to ATL!

Had to go to Atl for a family thing and stopped by here. First off it is PACKED most of the time. The beer was standard issues sweetwater stuff but they did have one tap handle all by itself that pours something interesting, this time out it was Happy Ending, a really nice imperial stout.

Service was very good with the bartenders having a fun vibe.

Food did not look good so I played it safe with an order of chicken wings that were ok, no complaints but no raves.

If I were rating in the context of airport beer drinking I'd go a little higher and in the context of a beer bar I'd go a bit lower. I prefer the steakhouse outside of security for a drink and a more civilized meal but for a good craft beer before a flight this will scratch that itch.

(Visited 11/2011): Sweetwater's airport pub is located in concourse B of ATL.

The atmosphere is typical of pretty much every airport restaurant/bar: Loud, cramped and busy. The bar is in the back with some TVs behind it, and there is some Sweetwater breweriana, a mural and merch on the walls which is a nice touch, as is the tin ceiling. Table seating outside the bar area.

The beer selection includes 5 Sweetwater options, one being a seasonal. There are also around 10 bottles.

Service again typical for an airport. Under staffing seems to be the norm, and basic knowledge of the beers.

Food is decent for airport grub. Our sandwiches were not spectacular but got the job done.

Overall I always have an "any port in a storm" mentality when it comes to airports and finding a brewpub represented is always a welcome sight. I would definitely visit here on future visits.
