Good looking dark golden clear bubbly body with a nice big head. Smell is floral and fruity with a dry biscuity backbone. Clean and balanced flavor. Some pine, lemony citrus cut nicely by a spicy hop bitterness and yesty fresh baked bread and sweet toffee like malts. Good sharp carbonation makes for a crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. Maybe just a little metalic skunky aftertaste comes out, but not bad. Overall very clean and skunk free. Probably the least skunk filled European lager I have ever had. Nice beer.

Pours to a thick bubbly head that falls to a thin layer and leaves plenty of lace. Color is deep golden. Aroma is of sweet pilsner malt and a bit of spicy Czech hops and a little butter. Flavor is a nice balance of Saaz hop flavor and aroma and clean, light malt sweetness. finishes with a nice dry bitterness. Pretty good stuff. I appreciated the slight buttery (diacetyl) taste which is reminiscent of what Pilsner Urquell used to be.

I really like this beer. Not as deep as PU/Czechvar but there's no mistaking its bohemian heritage. I always walk out of the package store with at least one $0.99/16.9oz bottle. You simply can't beat that!

Appearance: Rich, crystal clear gold color, with small, quickly-fading head. No collar or lacework to speak of.

Smell: Surprisingly fruity, almost like an ale. Plums and hints of banana, in the main. Mild hop character.

Taste: Very faint sweetness, which is quickly overwhelmed by the tartness of the flowery hops. A pronounced buttery character manifests on the way to the dry, hoppy finish.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied, with a surprisingly restrained carbonation for the style. It's still festively bubbly, but not as much as other lagers I've had.

Drinkability: It's a good, solid lager, but I think I'd grow bored with it in short order. Then again, I feel that way about most pilsners, so take that with a grain of salt.

Pours a nice golden color with a frothy white head into my pint glass. Good presentation here. Not much else to note.

Aroma is a mixture of sweet, slightly bready malt with a decent amount of hops in the nose. Inviting aroma.

Taste is full of sweet malt with only a slight hint of hops. No harshness here. Leans more towards buttery bread.

Mouthfeel is full of lingering sweet malt and hops and they stick around as well. Decent. Again, nothing harsh.

Not bad for the style. Highly drinkable but likely too simplistic. I was hoping for more of a harsh hop bite. Absolutely worth a try.

A pretty nice little Bohemian Pils....nose is soft and sweet....very clean gold color with minimal head...taste is grainy...not a lot of hop bite, and tends to taste more like a lager to me........a good one though...it does have a slightly dry finish...creamy texture...easy drinking...thirst quenching...a good summer beer...

A: Poured a clear, medium gold with light orange hues and a frothy 2 finger white head that was moderately lasting. The head was sticky and clung to the sides of the glass as it receded. Visible carbonation was light and sporadic.

S: fresh barley grains that smelled like they were fresh from the fields, with a dry herbal hopping.

T: For flavor there was a touch of dried buttered grain sweetness with a nice showing of spritzy lively lemons. A mild herbal hopping with light straw accents also is present. The flavor is very clean, crisp from start to finish and everything you could possible ask for by style.

M: light on the tongue, smooth, slick with a beautiful lemony zesty hopping that went just perfect with the fresh graininess. A slight carbonation tingle is experienced add to the experience.

D: Good drinkability, crisp, with a great grain palate and soft hopping that is perfectly fitted to style. An easy session and dare I say case worthy. Honestly this beer went down before I even realized it, was that smooth.

Light carbonation and very little head. Head was creamy and white, very small and faded quickly.

Color is slightly darker than the "American Pilsner yellow". Clear beer with small and sparse carbonation bubbles. Inviting nose includes munich malts and a slight hop nose.

Flavor is slight but complex-- dextrin, followed by a bright hoppy note and a mellow long slide toward bitterness as the sip leaves the tongue. Very drinkable, goes with anything, and the price is pretty good.

Poured out of a 12 oz. bottle into my trusty Duvel tulip.

A - Pours a nice light golden color with about a one inch head. Just a bit of lacing.

S - Has a fruity smell with a nice apple tinge to it. Get some light grapes smell as well. Light smell altogether.

T - Very much like the smell it has a sweet taste. You definitely get the fruit.

M - Light bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Refreshing for sure.

D - Yes. This is a nice light beer. Would take a 6 pack out on a boating trip for sure.

Pours golden-yellow with a white head that fades into a thin lace. Smells of clean grains, grassy (I guess) and a lot floral noble hop notes. Tastes mildy sweet. Pale malty flavors. Vaguely metalic and a lot of floral, aromatic hops. Noble hops (saaz I'm sure) dominate the palate. Slight bitterness keeps the beer refreshing throughout drinking it, along with the fairly high amount of carbonation, giving it a sharp "nip" when you swallow each gulp. Drinks easy. Not a bad pils, a fine standard example of the style.

This .5L brown bottle of Rebel poured a crystal clear deep gold color. A thick white head dissipated slowly, lacing slightly on the glass.

Rebel’s aroma was a little skunky at first, but the skunkiness quickly faded to allow aromas of toasted, bready malt and spicy noble hops to come through. Far in the background Rebel had an almost smoky undertone to its aroma. Pleasant.

This Rebel had a full, round toasty malt flavor and a delicate, yet assertive hop bitterness. Hop flavor was spicy and ever so slightly herbal. Altogether a crisp clean flavor, which finished dry and left a pleasant lingering bitterness.

Rebel has a light to medium body a full mouth coat and moderate to low levels of carbonation and a light carbon dioxide bite.

This is a beer I have been meaning to try for a while… and I’m glad I finally did. I haven’t tried a Czech beer that I haven’t liked yet… but this was one of the best that I’ve tried. Highly recommended… if you don’t mind a little skunk.

12 oz picked up at the Coop over the weekend.. it looked new to me... and I love a good Czech pils.. so why not?

Poured into my shaped SA glass.. 1" head leaves nice lace and a descent cap above a crystal clear golden brew.

Nose is expected graininess.. sorta bready with a more spicy than floral hoppiness.. very clean.

Flavor mirrors the nose perfectly.. nice malt profile with the near perfect hoppiness... the only real complaint is it sorta has a metallic component as it warms.. I could be imagining it.. but I don't think so... still very clean and pretty damn good for the style.. the body is medium and so is the carbonation..

I actually will probably buy this again. It wasn't expensive.. and I like the fact that it's in brown bottles and has no skunkiness..

Came in a big brown bottle, looked like a decent pils - so I got it. Let's see here.

Appearance: Uhm... no head. None. This poured a coarse, little head that VANISHED. The actual beer itself looks appetizing enough, but no head? What the hell? Far too flat looking.

Smell: Hey! Better, quite hoppy... sort of astringent and tea-ish. Lemon... some other fruit? Someone mentioned grapes in their review, that might be it.

Taste: I like this, a lot. QUITE bitter, and that's exactly how I like my beer. Powerful hops, astringent and just delicious at the back of the palatte, and a few other flavours kicking around. Lemon rinds are there, I'm tasting that grape now... mm. I like this a lot.

Mouthfeel: Clean, crisp, nice. It's not as flat as the TOTAL LACK OF HEAD would have me believe - and in fact it's rather pleasant in the mouth.

Drinkability: I could down these rather easily, especially on a hot day. I love Czech pilsners, and this is no exception.

Notes: Aside from the TOTAL LACK OF HEAD this is a wonderful beer I think I might even buy again. Was there soap in my glass or something? I'll give it another review when I drink it again. If you like a good, clean pilsner and dig your hops - this is a great one.

Pours a light orangish amber, slight nose typical of a Czech pilsner, sweet hops and malty scent. The taste is very crisp and clean, lacks the depth of character in both hops and malts that some other Czech pilsners have, still, this is a solid example of the style and the kind of beer where you could have one, or two, or three, just about anywhere.

Pours a clear golden color with moderate carbonation. Small white head that thinly lingers. Some lacing down the glass.

Smells light and grainy. Sweet mild malt scents too.

Can taste some grains - sweet. Mild hop finish.

Goes down very easily and stimulates the tip of the tongue.

A very drinkable pilsner. Perfect for a hot day or with a light meal.

Arrived a very nice straw golden hue with miniscule head, which quickly disapated to almost nothing...very thin ring and minor lace.
Carbonation is medium at best but appropriate.
The body is medium as well.
Aroma is of the skunk initially but quickly disapates to a minor in yeast.
The taste is very nice...equal balance to begin...malt/hop with a short explosion of hopiness to end.
No linger.
This is a session beer, of that there is no doubt!!!

The beer pours a pale golden color with a spotty lace head. The aroma is good . There is the presence of pale malts and Czech style aroma hops. The taste is decent, but not great. This is a very clean tasting beer. It's not at all complex in malt composition, but it goes down easy. The mouthfeel is good. It has just the right amount of carbonation and is low bodied. This is a good drinking beer.

Poured from a bomber into a pint glass. Poured a clear golden orange with a good bit of carb although the 1/2 inch white head disappeared as quick as it formed. Smelled like a typical lager with minimal hops coming through, nothing much to speak of there. The taste was decent though very faint. Slight hop bite with apple, pear type sweetness. Heavy on the carb but it suits this beer well. Light, crisp and easy drinking. Not overly flavorful but would definitely pair nice with some brats, onions and kraut. Throw in a hot summer day and this could make due.

Came in a 16.9oz brown bottle, no freshness stamp. Pours out a clear golden tone, big foamy head on it that lasted a while and eventually receded into a ring. Massive biscuity sweet malt nose to it, faint hops detected. Flavour of buttery malt, some floral hops and a metallic aftertaste that is then overcome by the hops again. It's crisp, I'll give it that. Very drinkable, no complaints here at all.

Pours golden with a large fluffy white head. A great amount of lacing is left on the glass.

The smell is grassy - lemongrass with a grainy background - a classic pils nose.

The taste isn't up to the aroma, though it stays in the realm of satisfactory. Swwet graininess overtakes the grassy/lemony character that was in the nose. Flavor fades a tad as it progresses, leaving a slight metallic touch. Pretty crisp finish, with a touch of bitterness.

Well-carbonated without being prickly.

On-spot for a classic pils overall. If the taste matched the aroma better - well, that would make for a better brew, but as it is its a classic refresher.
