Pours a dark golden color. A very slightly hazy hue with a good amount of carbonation that creates a thin white head with nice lacing.
Smell is nice. For an import, there is a very fresh wheat smell at the base of this beer. A very strong biscuit smell also.
Taste is good for an import pilsener. A fresh biscuit wheat taste. Good hop taste at the end also.
Mouthfeel is thin but nicely crisp and refreshing.
Drinkability is good on this beer. It has a solid, clean taste and is very refreshing. Good beer.

Poured a yellow/gold color with nice fluffy head, smell was very breadlike and a little iron like.Had nice balance in flavor just not enough of it in my opinion, had some biscuit malt in the background here with a hop hitting ya late as you swallow.A pretty darn drinkable pilsner, although not a fan of the style I enjoyed this one.

Appearance – This one is light yellow in color with orange tints and a nice, deep, white head.

Smell – The sweet orangish grain is rough around the edges.

Taste – The orangy hops come out big at the taste. They are underscored with some decent grain.

Mouthfeel – This Pils is somewhat dry with a good, light bitterness at the finish. It is a little bigger than light in the body and felt nice in between the cheeks.

Drinkability – It’s uninspired but very drinkable and kind of wears on you by the end of the pint (half liter). The dry, crisp character of this one kept it going down well.

Appearance: Bright golden yellow, thin sticky lace on top.

Smell: Sweet grain and spicy hops with a hint of fresh cut hay.

Taste & Mouthfeel: Very smooth, medium-bodied with a cleansing crispness. Leans towards the dry side. A light handful of malt sweetness upfront and a growing semi biting grain the streams middle to end. Hops give off an earthen and herbal feature with a clean spicy flavor and give a hand to drying this brew in the finish with its clean bitterness.

Notes: Very clean with delicate hop and malt flavors. Highly pallettable, makes for a perfect lunch time brew. 4.7 percent abv

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a very clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very macro-like with a lot of corn and wheat. The flavor is more of the same, very corny with some light hop flavors. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Interesting. Yellow-gold with a lacy head. Clean, saazy Czech pilsner nose. Not bitter like I expected it to be, more of a sweet malty taste. Very sweet finish. This is more like a lager than anything else. This used to be a really good Czech beer several years ago.

Pours a light gold, big bubbly head that leaves some lacing. Smell is honey, apple . . . Saaz hops. Taste reflects the smell, this is the same general flavor profile of most Czech pilsners. Carbonation somewhat lacking.

I'm somewhat surprised by the large number of negative ratings on this beer, it's not outstanding but is a perfectly good Czech pilsner, light years beyond most North American pilsners. I can only suspect that for whatever reason a lot of this stuff is getting shipped to consumers on the local train, so to speak. My sample was reasonably fresh relative to the long trip.

Looks like your typical lager: well-filtered golden yellow, small head and lots of bubbles moving quickly to the top.

Bright aroma offers honey and straw up front, lighter notes of apple and pear, and clean grassy hops.

Flavor is watery butterscotch, unidentifiable herbs, honey, watery orange, apple, pear, light hops, yellow cake batter and a faint skunkiness to the finish. Mouthfeel is slick and smooth while achieving crispness; its light to medium (at best) body is probably as it should be for the style. A bit dry which makes for a quick flash of flavor before dying out.

An easy-drinking pils and very clean, although for all the flavor impressions I got, it seems a bit timid and not as assertive as better versions of the style. Worth a try, and, like all Czech Pilsners, probably not even close to matching a glass poured from the tap in its homeland.

An OK lager, with light malt, and some bitterness, light mouthfeel. appropriate carbonation, crisp and clean. Not much in aroma. Light yellow, grassy, mineral water aftertaste. rather boring. Could use more something. Thanks for sharing your Czech finds, Radek.

An imported pilsener that doesn't smell/taste like skunk piss and is super easy on the wallet? Yeah, I'll take it.

This beer had a very small white head with small-medium sized bubbles. The head quickly diminished with this beer. The body was clear and the hue was golden. The nose was somewhat buttery and some hops and the flavor was bitter, sour and tart tasting. The mouthfeel was tingly and thin.

I picked this up at my work at Bevmo because a customer recommended it.

Appearance- pale yellow color, thin head

Smell- lagery malt

Taste- pale malt, lager flavor

Mouthfeel- light bodied

Drinkability- ok, probably wouldn't drink it again, not too good, It's better than Bud though lol

Pours a clear golden Pilsner with the most stubborn head I have seen on a beer for quite some time.

Smell is sweet and grassy with a big dose of those Czech hops.

Taste is mildly sweet with a good hop balance and a nice clean finish.

Mouthfeel is good.

A good drinkable Pilsner. This stuff isn't Pilsner Urquell but it is a damn good beer for its price.

This isn't a bad pilsner, but it's also not a godsend for the style. The hops are noticeable, as they should be in a pils, but it's not overpowering. It's crisp, but slightly buttery and very drinkable. I tried this at a festival, but I'm sure that if I were to actually see the price tag on what I'd pay for it at the store, I wouldn't want to pay for it.

Doesn't stray to far from the style, or mediocrity. It walks a straight line of what a czech pilner should be. Lots of grassy malt in the nose and flavor. Highly carbonated, not much hop or alcohol present. Pretty run of the mill, but not offensive in any ways.

500ml bottle.

It pours a medium yellowish god with a fizzy white head that quickly dissipates with no lacing.

The smell is both doughy and floral. It isn't too interesting, but it isn't bad.

The flavor is a little better. It has a surprising bitterness that cuts deep. It isn't a huge bitterness but it is poignant and noticeable, especially with the mellow malt bill.

It is a rustic one, maybe that equates also to cheap since this bomber didn't cost much at all, but it is a decent Pilsener.

Poured from a 1 pint 9 oz. bottle. It has a medium head with a light golden straw color. The head didn't last long but left a thin layer on top. Not much smell too it but it smelled almost like leather to me.

Very smooth and creamy in your mouth with little fanfare. A basic, solid beer with some mellow hops beneath the creamy flavor, giving it a balance of slightly bitter with it. Some citrusy spice in the aftertaste.

A good beer, well done and enjoyable and I'd enjoy it again, for sure.

500 ml bottle purchased from the Utah system. About $2 paid. Poured into my perfect pint glass straight from the fridge.

Appearance: This is a very clear beer, straw colored, with a foamy white three fingered head that settles slowly and leaves irregular splotchy lacing. Lots of effervescent bubbles.

Smell: Sweet apple juice, slight mineral twang along with bready malts and some earthy hops.

Taste: Clean, as opposed to crisp, lager taste. Basic malts, cracker-like and a little sweet, go along with a light floral (apple) hops note. Light basic mineral bitter to back against the malt. This style should not be in your face, and this one has a nice subdued flavor.

Mouthfeel: Middling body with heightened carbonation, but not so much that the feeling is prickly. Right where it should be.

Overall: I think this is a pretty good example of this style. Not a bad $2 to spend. I still think I prefer Bohemian Brewery's Czech Pilsener, brewed here in SLC.

Ahhh. Hop extract. It boils from under the freshly liberated cap like frog burps in a swamp. Only mintier.

This is a drinkable, clean beer. At best second tier among Czech lagers, it offers the familiar round, biscuity, malty body and aromatic hops that is distinct for the region. Thirst-quenchingly watery, this is the kind of beer not to be "enjoyed" but to be ignored while steadily, evenly consumed during a session.

Light pale gold color with a medium white foamy head. Aroma is grainy, fruity and slightly sweetish. Nice mildly hopped Pilsner. Some malts, but mostly hops in this beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Color is a clear yellow with a very nice light and bubbly white head that got about two fingers high then faded after a minute to a hazed skim of thin bubbles, no real lacing. Smell is of cardboard at first and behind the staleness is a bit of slight citrusy hop. Taste is very clean with an unusual hop taste thats mildly sharp and toned well in its bite, its a bit waxy-like and estery, some slight honey and very mild malt in the back. Feel is about right for a pilsner, fairly medium body and has quick settling dryness thats very tame in the finish. This is one of my favs for pilsners, the label is confusing as hell, LION on the top of the label, then "Kralovsky", then LEV, then "Pale Double Bock" very strange. But anyways, this is some pretty good stuff, the smell was way off from last the time I had it.

Pours a very clear, golden yellow with a lot of carbonation but not much head. Head itself is lacy white. A brew with not much smell to it. Taste is fuzzy and hoppy, nothing overwhelming. An average beer, but there are much better Czech pilsners to be found, and I think that even the standard Rebel beer is a little better than this. I give it a "meh".

Been trying to source this beer from my local liquor store, but unable. My brother just brought me 6 pints from San Diego and now I'm reviewing. This beer to me is a little underrated. The store he bought it from was selling it dirt cheap. On sale, 2 pints for 3 dollars. The carbonation on this beer strikes me first, strong and lively. The first pour already develops color in the head. Changing from white to a caramel swirl as you sip. Head remains with light lacing as you drink. Flavor on this beer really knocks it out of the park for me. Has a color and taste similar to Rebel Czech. Although Rebel Czech has deeper tones.Taste on the palate sends signals of a rich, earthy ,wood pile taste. Very drinkable beer, that quenches you with every sip. Saaz hops are familiar on the nose with this beer flavor, as with all Czech pilsners. Nice sweet malt backbone that makes this beer easy to drink. Slight bitterness to go along with the finish. All in all a very enjoyable well made pilsner.

Awesome beer!

A: Pours a darker straw yellow color with great carbonation leaving a nice white cap

Smell: Floral hops, some hints at bread, very clean, crisp and refreshing on the nose. Smelled good.

T: Nice presence of floral hops with a blend of bread and grains, has a nice little sweetness to it on the end

M: Body was clean, crisp, refrshing and light bodies. I found myself really liking this beer as did my wife. The sweetnesss and hops just shine on this and provides a light bitterness.

O: Enjoyable and well worth the $2!

Sampled from a 0.5L bottle at a BJ's Woodland Hills Tasting

Beer is a pale gold with brilliant clarity and spritzy carbonation.

Aroma is spicy hop flower with a strong honey aroma that continued into the flavor.

The flavor is sweet and grainy with a sugary malt lacking any continental crispness. Ending is slightly corny.
